When I imagine being shipwrecked on a remote island, with nothing to eat except for what I can catch in the sea, the sun beating down, and only the rags I was washed up in to wear for the foreseeable future, it's not an appealing prospect. When I imagine the same situation, only in the company of busty Brit babe Kelly Brook, whose entire wardrobe consists of a tiny white bikini and a green chiffon scarf, being so far away from civilisation suddenly seems much more bearable…In Three (AKA Survival Island), boat-hand Manuel (Juan Pablo Di Pace) finds himself stranded on a deserted island with Jennifer (played by voluptuous Brook) after a fire on a chartered yacht forces them overboard. Manuel takes a liking to Jennifer ('cos, you know, he's not blind, or gay) but he's barely had time to acquaint himself with the lovely lady before another survivor is washed up on the island: Jennifer's husband Jack (Billy Zane), who's none too happy at seeing Manuel eyeing up his tasty wife. Two's company and three's a crowd, as the saying goes, and pretty soon Jack and Manuel are at each other's throats, and with Jennifer eventually succumbing to Manuel's charms, it ain't going to end well. There's no two ways about it, Three is utter trash. But it's entertaining trash. Kelly Brook can't act to save her life but she's got a killer set of curves, and with the gorgeous gal strutting around in her swimsuit, occasionally taking it off for a swim or to have sex in the surf, I was never bored. Zane overacts for all he's worth, but he doesn't care—he was too busy hooking up with Brook in real life to care about giving a decent performance. Juan Pablo Di Pace is forgettable as the Latino hunk, but he serves a purpose: he's there to for the ladies to lust over while the guys are drooling over Ms. Brook's bod.

This was her bid for serious consideration as a dramatic actress by Kelly Brook. Whilst not a good film, it is not as bad as might be expected. It is directed and acted in a professional manner but the script has some atrocious loopholes and at least one character disappears out of the film and is never seen or referred to again. Brook is cast as a female Robinson Crusoe shipwrecked on a barren island along with two other survivors one her husband and the other a seaman and potential lover. Naturally the two men fight over Kelly. There is also voodoo symbolism which is pointless and laid on with a trowel. Normally less is more where sex is a theme in a film, but "Three" would have benefited from more of Kelly's skin. One sex scene would have been more convincing if she had been totally topless. In another scene where she is striding in sand, she should have been nude. This film was a box office dud and probably fared better on DVD. Nevertheless one hopes that this will not be the end of Kelly's film career. It is doubtful if producers will ever beat a path to her door, but she could be well cast as a femme fa-tale in a Bond movie or a female Tarzan or given the current Olympic games as an athlete - in fact any role which emphasises her physical assets and her latent acting ability.

I expected bad acting, nearly acceptable plot and a nice looking actress.. But actually what I saw was acceptable acting, really beautiful actress and a great plot. Something new for me, something unexpected. This film kept me interested all of the time and especially at the end. I can predict most of the endings of films that I see usually but this.. this was not even close to my assumption. I give it 9/10 because I think that with not much money they have made a 10 times better film than most of the big budget movies that came out the last few years. P.S. I really don't understand why the most useful comment for this film is so critical.. for me the film is worth seeing :)

How much do I love this film?! Now I'm not a fan of bad films, but I do love a film that is so bad it's good. This is one of those. Juan Pablo Di Pace has a great butt, looks fab on screen, and definitely doesn't make a bad turn at his acting debut (I believe). Billy Zane is suitably mean and moody, though I still constantly feel that there is something more in him. I felt it in Titanic, the look on his face when La Winslet spat on him for example, totally broken, shocked, and put-down ... fierce! Kelly Brook is a pretty face ... no seriously, I think that's it! It's worth catching this to see one really hot guy, some big bra fillers from Brook, nasty growling from Billy, laugh at the dialogue, revel in the scenery and madness of the whole affair ... I'm gona go watch it again now - yes, I bought it!!!
