When Harry met Sally was a massive critical and box office success when it was released. This is a witty comedy set in the big apple and both Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan are in fantastic touch. They were both huge stars at the time and the respective king and queen of comedy, unarguably. The reason the film was so successful is because it taps into the omnipresent societal dilemma: Can a man and woman simply be friends and nothing more. Nora Ephron's screenplay is one of the finest examples of a funny screenplay and Rob Reiner is a master filmmaker who is in sublime touch here. If there is one comedy drama I would recommend you watch it is when harry met sally.

This is a sweet film and you can see how its survived the test of time and has remained a classic.... easy although predictable storyline and nice performances from Meg Ryan and a very dry Billy Crystal. Carrie Fisher's performance in it was disappointing and lacking in substance. She should defo stick to sci-fi!

Following a recommendation from a friend, I watched this movie for the first time. I was really impressed by the thoughtfulness of the dialogue. There were some interesting/entertaining arguments, and unlike some other romance flicks there wasn't a lot of over the top, sappy moments. It felt real. Very well done.

I used to watch thriller movie. I rarely watch comedy movies but the ones I have watched I will rate it third in my all time comedy movies after Forrest Gump and me, myself and Irene. This movie is not just about comedy but also about the question "Can two people of opposite sex be friends only?". I do believe that yes they can. The movie is also about love and marriage. "Divorce" is not common in India as it is in US. But still "Love" always thrives over "Marriage". As you can't be happy with a person you are not in love with. As depicted in the movie as well that it is all about love and not about sex only. If you really love someone you will always want them to be happy. This part is perfectly demonstrated in the movie and I loved that about the movie.
