It's a really good kids movie. It was one of my favourite kids movie. Brings back memories if you ask me, and it was one of those movies I watched as often as possible because of the entertainment and value it brings. It's especially good if you're into martial arts, so that makes it all the more worthwhile. Don't expect it to be anything special because it's not, and that's not the purpose of the film. Instead, it's just a good and cool movie for the family to see. It remains, one of my childhood favourites.

I must say that I find that on each viewing of this excellent movie I find yet new layers of meaning, much of it very surprising indeed. What I deeply appreciated was that this movie payed true homage to the values of ninja whilst remaining light hearted and entertaining, quite suitable for a young teen audience. The cinematography is quite admirable, indeed surprising. It puts me in mind of the remarkably underrated 2006 sci-fi movie Battlespace, written and directed by Neil Johnson.I highly recommend this movie. The visuals are superb, the plot is surprisingly mature and respectful to the ancient knowledge of the ninja and I daresay you will laugh a great deal as the plot unfolds.

It's too bad I can't rate this at a .5 because I would. Movies like this and surf ninjas are playing a huge role in continuing to make our children dumber. The acting is just gruesomely terrible, the story line is just as bad and if I had a chance to play in a movie like this, I would think about how much I would be regretting it for the rest of my life. Even back when this movie first came out and I was in the second grade, I knew this movie was stupid then. This movie is so sad, if you love your children and have a hope of them turning out to be something some day, don't let them see this, it will only damage their minds rather than inspire them.

I just have one thing to say..."LIGHT UP THE EYES BOYS!! LIGHT UP THE EYES!!!" ehhehe Such an awesome kids film... great childhood memories of this one! But its really disappointing that they don't include this in the 3 ninjas box set in Aus... its the best one!! Also be sure to see the next 2 of the 3 ninjas movies .. but i advise u to miss the 4th.. completely new kids and a very big waste of time! Favourite character is Colt, so I'm so glad they used the same actor for all 3 of the films, and prefer the actor who played tum tum in this one than the 2nd... but i think i preferred the Rocky in the 2nd one than this one.Overall, an excellent kids movie!!
