A freak accident might just help an everyday garden snail achieve his biggest dream: winning the Indy 500. I haven't seen Turbo since 2013 and my god the film holds well. The voice acting is great, the soundtrack is amazing especially the slow motion sequence with Turbo getting threw a wheel and 'Eye of the Tiger' playing in the background is simply spectacular. The film packs some great comedic moments and dramatic moments too, it's suspenseful during the final minutes of the race and it has great animation and messages for kids such as believing in your dreams and friendship. Not everyone will enjoy 'Turbo' but if you give it a fair and share chance it won't disappoint you also a sequel wouldn't be a bad idea honestly.

Only thing that I like in this film is that it is comedy. I love when film is realistic. There is one border between realistic and fantastic. So,short said, this film is too unreal.Yes,there is some border when you must stop dreaming and get the reality. The best example of that is in Monster university. I like the colorful characters:little granny, tacoman, automehanichar, weird snails, crazy racer etc. Animation is quite solid. The landshapes are nice, for kids. The music is,on some way, second rate.Yes,We are the champions and other music is cool, but in other moments is not.Sounds are the other story. There are scenes I love;potatoes and lawnmover etc. So,film is OK for 7 year old kids,it is easy watchable and wrecks the bore. 6/10

Turbo is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated comedy sports film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is based on an original idea by David Soren, who also directed the film.In a suburban San Fernando Valley garden in Los Angeles,[12] Theo, a.k.a. Turbo, is a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagné. His obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an outcast in the slow and cautious snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his older brother, Chet. Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he's living....Demoralized, Theo wanders onto a freeway to admire the traffic and wishes he was fast on the first star (which is actually an airplane light). Suddenly, he gets into a freak accident when he gets sucked into the supercharger of a drag racer, fusing his DNA with nitrous oxide. The next day, when Theo wakes up, the incident finds himself vested with incredible speed and accuracy, as well as some characteristics of an actual car.

Why would no alarm bells go off for the production people of how they are presenting people to little kids? Mexicans boiled down to unsuccessful taco entrepreneurs? The black snail being some sort of hip hop tough guy who thinks he's fast but is slow? Snails are hermaphrodites. Even in this case the primary players are portrayed as male. Male factory leader. Male head speaker. Male main character. Male human characters. Male hero for the snail. Have females again been zipped off the planet again? Allegorical sure, but here's a female. Flirty lipstick snail as girl in a gang. Such opportunities lost. And the world is a big bad world where danger is everywhere. Everyone mocks the hero and continually colleagues die and they collectively shrug. Bird and big are killed for humour I presume. Really? This is the best they could do with the imaginations of themselves and their audience?
