The romance in this film is one of the best in Disney history. The songs are well-done, the characters are great, the villain is great. The genie is one of the funniest parts, but the film sometimes enjoys his presence a little too much, even breaking the fourth wall and making a few messy pop culture references here and there. Other than that, it's a great Disney classic and worth watching again and again.

This is the fourth animated classic Disney film I watched this month. I am currently tackling the Aladdin trilogy. And maybe even the Lion King trilogy if I am not too burnt out on classic Disney animation by then. Anyway, this is one of the mega hits from the 90s, the silver age of Disney animation.. if you ignore the 60's-80's filler films the studio pumped out. Anyway, the late Robin Williams steals the show and really puts this film over the top with his performance as the big blue lovable clown. Good stuff.

This film has always had a very special place in my heart since I was a kid, and still does today. With great animation at the time, great story, great voice acting, great character development and chemistry, great music, great premise, this film is easily one of the best films made by Disney. The main characters were well written and had great character buildups. The villains, Jafar and Iago both had such good chemistry, that even if they were on the screen, I always enjoyed their humorous presences. Every one did absolutely fantastic with their voice acting, especially Robin Williams when he did the Genie, whom also may be my favorite character in the film. Not only did everyone sound believable, but they sounded great when they sang. I think Disney and everyone else involved with this film has outdone themselves with this film and I recommend it to everyone who hasn't seen it yet, as this film is not only charming, but it's also funny, poignant, and pretty much everything you would want in a Disney film. I truly believe this film is an absolute masterpiece in the works of Disney and I couldn't be happier with it.

Excellent Animation, Fantastic songs, and score, incredible story! One of Disney's best! Robin Williams is a high light, all the voices are right on, and the story is great! But why does no one seem to mention this was based on and inspired by a 1940 Live Action Technicolor Blockbuster called "The Thief of Bagdad?" If they'd given credit where credit it due, one wouldn't be left with the nagging feeling that this masterpiece is somehow a bit of a rip-off.
