Shadow Man is a film that is absolute rubbish with its involving story that could put one to sleep, poor action sequences, very poor direction, sloppy fight scenes, and a very overweight and poorly dubbed Steven Seagal who looked very lethargic and lazily plods his way throughout the movie. The big question here is why on earth is Steven Seagal's voice dubbed in this movie. It's obvious to blind Freddy that this was NOT Steven Seagal's voice and I just cannot fathom for the life of me why Steven Seagal's voice was dubbed. Was it because Steven Seagal was lazy put in minimal effort into this movie? Or was it because he doesn't sound like he used to? The movie itself is so forgettable I could not even tell you what the movie was about. I saw most of it by fast forwarding through the movie and then when I watched the laughable yet pathetic action sequences I was shaking my head in disgust at how bad they were. The one time box office champion shows that he has put very little to no effort here and it shows. Despite Steven Seagal's latest insipid and uninspiring effort, as his career limps on it's still amusing that his super sized stomach is now as big as his super sized ego. Seagal still hasn't lost his God complex and he continues to strut around the same way like he did in the prime of his career. Judging by this poor excuse for a movie, I can't see Steven Seagal's career ever being resurrected.Regardless of whether you were a Steven Seagal fan, or whether you still a loyal fan who has stuck by him through thick and thin, avoid this movie.1/10.
... View MoreWell, another of Seagal's Direct-to-DVD movies down the hatch. This one actually wasn't too bad.Once again the the big dude plays a former operative with a colorful past which is hinted at but never explained. Once again he has a daughter that's kidnapped and he breaks some bones to get the guilty party. The script, in fact, is somewhat confusing now and then and the paper thin story seems more complicated than it actually is. Old Steve does OK here, he's not dubbed (I think) and he seems to be doing most of his fighting himself. Oddly enough, fairly many shots show him (and leading lady Eva Pope) continually below face level so just about anyone could be doing the running there.Spoiler A particularly curious scene involves Seagal and Pope fleeing the safe house due to a helicopter chasing them. Their faces are never shown while running, neither in the car as they get to the woods and only a close-up of Steve with a gun while he shoots the chopper down. Very strange scene - might even have been put in after the fact. Very cheesy CGI in the scene by the way.End of Spoiler "Shadow Man" is average entertainment all the way. If you're in the mood for Steve, this is an OK choice. Decent fighting scenes and shoot-outs but it's mostly pretty forgettable.

In the airport of Bucharest, Jack sees his daughter being kidnapped by the taxi driver Anya (Eva Pope) and the limousine of George exploding. He chases the taxi with the CIA agent Harry (Vincent Riotta) and he finds that different groups believe George gave him the research of a lethal virus. While trying to rescue his daughter, Jack is entwined in a network of traitors and criminals that are disputing the powerful biological weapon and he has to fight to survive."Shadow Man" is another messy and noisy movie of Steven Seagal. The screenplay is terrible with an awful development of the characters and the situation, and along the first fifteen, twenty minutes, the viewer does not know what is happening. The cast is above average, highlighting the awarded Imelda Staunton and Eva Pope, but unfortunately the story is not good. I found funny to see the character of Steven Seagal with a girlfriend (with a wonderful body) and having a romance with Anya, since it is unusual in his movies this type of situation. The locations in Bucharest are very beautiful and with a better screenplay, this film could have worked. My vote is three.Title (Brazil): "O Homem Sombra" ("The Shadow Man")
... View Morei like under siege , but i think that was like the best movie he ever made ? since then , i don't think he had once made any cool movie . . . i just got to say i LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie's action , fighting , acting , and plot . . Steven kills his own father like nothing, w/ the coolest 1 hand punch to the chest and the father bleed all over the wall right behind it . . than the ultimated unlimited bullets ? sounds like a Chinese movie where everyone has unlimited bullets ? and you noticed how fat Steven has became ? wow for a fat guy w/ those fat cheeks he sure moves pretty quick without running to kick his next victim's. finally we have his 1 man army tactics, 1 vs what was that ? 3 - 4 guys with guns aiming at him ? well i guess his like Boris the bullet dodger . . well there you have it ladies and gents. . we should have this movie as part of America's hall of fame for comedy , though i think he should really start his career toward comedy more than action ? cause all of the things he does is just pure hilarious . . .
