I don't judge a book by its cover so I decided to see the movie myself and I was disappointed. The plot was rubbish and the action was so tacky and very far from realistic with lots of boring moments in between. Perhaps the most disgusting of which was the lack of attention to details; like an insult to the viewer.

Foul language, violent, there are many far better ways to spend 2 hours than to watch this film.

No doubt Morgan Freeman is a quality actor but you have to admit that sometimes he appears in bad movies. This one is again a perfect example where they use his name and where he has a minor role. Not that it would change anything if he had a bigger part in Momentum. The movie is a typical cat and mouse action movie. The action is okay even though a lot of the usual exaggerations. Since the series The Following I can't stand James Purefoy anymore. I think he's a very limited actor and he proves it again in this movie. And of course you need a nice looking bimbo as the super well trained chick that can take anybody down in a second. In this movie you get even two of those superwomen. Olga Kurylenko and Jenna Saras are apparently better fighters then any other special agents. The movie is full of clichés and sometimes so boring to watch you wonder how they come up with it. Besides a couple good action scenes the movie is just dumb and a waste of time.

For some reason my wife and I hired this the other night, and it took all our willpower to get through to the end. I just didn't care. Didn't care about the characters, the story, or the outcome. Lifeless acting, terrible dialogue, and an unnecessarily drawn out story. There are no plot twists, so don't wait for it to improve. The gore is completely unnecessary, although the cringe-worthy splashes of blood to serve to distract you from everything else, albeit briefly. The score, however, was terrific! Thoroughly enjoyed the music, and thought it was the absolute highlight of the film. So, kudos to the composer. Summary: buy the soundtrack and do the dishes to it :)
