Snagged this just recently from the library on DVD. I show it to my roommate, thinking she'll think the concept is good. She says, "yeah, this sounds good; let's watch. So we put it in and were immediately laughing about all the reality TV stereotypes they were using but got really hooked as the story went on. Not the best show ever, and there seem to be a few inconsistencies, but that's rather normal for most shows these days. It's certainly interesting with twists and turns both expected and unexpected. Kept me at the edge of my seat till the very end. I really wish there had been a second season made of Siberia.

It's not often that a show is written that makes you feel so many emotions in a single episode. Siberia does just that and goes above and beyond any TV show I've ever seen. Siberia will come across as an ordinary survival game show (and is advertised as one in commercials). But once you get into it, it is so much more. You don't have to love reality TV to remotely enjoy this show - you will fall in love instantly. Every character is an extremely realistic portrayal of archetypes not typically seen in the forms that you'd think, such as the nerd or environmental enthusiasts. But the two most amazing parts of the show are the acting and the message it sends. The acting is so phenomenal, that thousands upon thousands have become confused as to whether this show is real (I know some who watched the whole season and didn't even realize it was fake!) Their job was to make you question reality, and they did a very excellent job at that. The final piece of this beautiful show is the messages it hides. Beneath the horrific terror and competitive edge lie themes of bravery, forgiveness, and true love.It does not matter what kind of shows you're into, Siberia is a MUST-see for anyone. It first aired a year and a half ago, almost, and I'm still here waiting for a second season. It's sad to see this show that is capable of inventing single-handedly an entire new genre of TV show is not getting the reception that it deserves. And trust me, you'll be an emotional wreck by the end of the first season, in every way you can think of.

Eleven episodes in and no one (including some supremely intelligent people writing posts about the show in the forum) has the SLIGHTEST IDEA what is going on.I would say as a Cliffhanger/Keep 'em Watching type show, that Siberia is a 100% success. With all the garbage that is on TV/Cable these days: Junkyard Wars, Pawn Battles, My Daughter is Pregnant and So am I, the dozens of cookie cutter competition shows, the ONE SHOW that requires one to think a bit is undeservedly falling of the ratings ladder.Well, look at it this way: The original Star Trek was a bomb when it was presented. The Odd Couple (many times voted the greatest sitcom of all time) never made it into the top 20 (I think). If Siberia is not renewed, I will be sad, and hopefully will be able to buy the DVD/Blu Ray sometime soon.P.S. Hey, viewers of this page: write a review and kick up the "stars"

I watched the show from day one and I have really enjoyed it. I have recently started to watch NBC after I got bored of CBS. Siberia sounded like a great show. It made you asking different questions and making you wanting to see the new episode right NOW! I really loved this show because it was different from most shows I have watched and I pray and beg NBC to bring it back. I really wish they don't cancel this show or I'm done with NBC because they have canceled to many of my favorite shows. The acting stinks and that's the only thing that separates me from thinking is it fake or real. The first episode was kinda sketchy but, later on the series has made me into a fan. I also just love the twists and plots very creative. Thank you for this show. Keep it on NBC.
