This is my favourite comedy show. I never get tired of watching it. The humour isn't too heavy and tasteless, like in "Married with Children", nor is it too cute, like Perfect Stranges (I do love PC, though) Everybody Loves Raymond is warm, sweet and touching, without going overboard. It's very well balanced and the characters and situations are quirky and awesome. When I was a child, my favourite character was Frank, because he seems to be the worst of all. But in a really cool and hilarious way. He's mind-blowingly funny. However, now I can't pick. They're all great in their own way and despite their obvious and so entertaining flaws, they are generally really decent and loving people, hence the warm family atmosphere that always uplifts me. And I was so happy when Robert finally got his shit together and stayed with Amy for good. She is perfect for him and for the whole family, really. She is so sweet and innocent. Those people desperately needed someone like that. :) Everybody Lovers Raymond rocks. I love it.
... View MoreEverybody Loves Raymond is just one of those shows you can't get enough of. I remember watching it as a child everyday before dinner, getting excited to watch all the Barone family drama and getting a good laugh out of it, even today. I absolutely love the characters and plot of each episode because as a viewer, you never really know what you're in for or what the Barones have in store for you and that's what makes it stand out in my books. Beautiful. Funny. Hilarious. You name it, this show has it all. If you're looking for a show where you quite literally form a special bond with the characters and stories, then Everybody Loves Raymond is the show for you. Great for the family and kids and never yields to disappoint. 10/10!
... View MoreSo, yeah as my title says this is a TV show that my Dad watches. He'll occasionally show me an episode. He has like all the episodes on his computer and will talk about them from time to time. I've seen a lot of the episodes too. I'm not a big fan of the show, but still like it somewhat.I have to say, it's hard to believe that this show is 10 years old. But, even when the show was made it did not show a lot of modern devices. Like, the family in the show had a VCR even in some of the later episodes. They also did not really show Cellphones, just landlines. Landlines seem pretty old nowadays. This show frequently showed a TV, but not modern looking televisions. I forget how long flat screen TVs have been around, nowadays they seem like the only TVs you can buy. So, yeah it did not show modern looking TVs at the time the show was made. But, this show still works to watch today.I also ought to mention that this is a TV show filmed on a set. Like, most of the action took place in Ray Romano's house. Sometimes his parents house. They would only show one side of his house as most of the action was in the living room or kitchen, and bedroom. They'd be getting in conversations in the kitchen that people in the living room didn't seem to hear despite it being the next room over. Ray's mom would always come over to the house. She'd just walk straight in. Wherever they were having the conversation, in the kitchen or living room she'd always come straight to that door. You'd see different parts of the house, but again it was obviously filmed on set. Occasionally, they would film somewhere else. You got to know the characters from this show. Basically, every episode featured the main characters: Ray, Debbra, Robert, Marie, and Frank. The later episodes included Robert's wife, Amy. There were the kids, but they mostly just played background characters. They weren't that big in most of the episodes. I also have to say, I feel really sorry that one of the twins recently committed suicide. The humor from this show is mostly talking humor. It is not really like slapstick humor or things breaking. It will make you see how funny of an actor Ray Romano is. I could consider him the funniest actor. Ray plays a Dad and husband in this show, and he clearly shows how he's irresponsible and not entirely caring though for comedic purposes as he's too funny that it will hardly bother you. Though I feel a little bad for Debra for putting up with all of that. There's also Frank and although again it's for comedy he's even worse as a father and husband. He doesn't seem too loving, but will show it occasionally.Debra would later be on The Middle. Her character on The Middle seems pretty similar to her character on Everybody Loves Raymond. Though, I feel happier for her, as Mike is a more respectful husband and better father though not as funny. We didn't often times see Debra as a mother in Everybody Loves Raymond which we see a lot more of her in The Middle as a mother. You could even imagine Debra being Frankie's cousin or sister. That would work. We also get to know the Heck's house better, as it seems like a more realistic house than showing house rooms on a set. The Middle also seems like a more appropriate show for kids, because Everybody Loves Raymond frequently had sex jokes which you don't see that often in The Middle. This show is somewhat entertaining, though a little slow. The Middle is a faster TV show. I've enjoyed the times where I watched this show with my Dad on TV. I give it a 7/10.
... View MoreSpoiler Alert! First off R.I.P. Sawyer Sweeten or Geoffrey Barone This show is the best thing I could remember from my childhood memories. I have always loved how evil some of the characters could be to each other because it reminds me of Family Guy and the Simpsons. My favorite characters are Robert and Frank out of the whole TV show. I really miss this Show because I grew up watching it with my mom. This show really had my feelings each episode it made me laugh and cry at times showing it did it's job on me. I really hated the first season because it just wasn't appealing to me but it sure got better. I really miss shows like these because I haven't seen a good comedy series since the end of this one. Family Guy is getting old and less funny and the simpsons as well. I'm praying that one day a good comedy series comes that could get my attention as much as this series did but I don't think that will ever happen anytime soon! :( Anyway I give this show a 10 out of 10. I really wish I had my childhood back where I could watch this series.
