I was quickly acquinted and introduced to the concept of the show and in a nice way. The characters are funny and it's a good mix of traits. However, I slowly realized the INSANE amount awkwardness this show builds on. Try watching it and find a single scene where they are not revealing secrets, sexually hinting at things or making a fool of themselves. You won't.It all culminated in the curry-dinner episode (I believe it was ep. 4) that was just awkward upon awkward upon awkward upon fringe upon awkward. It's too much, to be honest. It's tiring to watch. I understand a lot of the comedy builds on that awkwardness but to make the show bearable they must step it down a notch.

Fart jokes aside, the repartee in these fast-forward sitcom episodes is funny. The writing about youthful relationships is more intelligent than many comedies of this genre. As someone who lived in communal situations briefly in the 1970's, I was pleasantly surprised that today's millennials can still enjoy the lightness of it.I'm a big fan of Jonathan Bailey (Sam). I think he is a young comic actor who could have a brilliant career. Phoebe Walter-Bridge (Lulu) was perhaps the weakest link in the cast, in my opinion. Julie Dray (Melody) is a scene-stealer as the pouty French painter, especially in tandem with talented veteran Adrian Scarborough. I'm not sure I would watch another season. Part of my interest was due to the fresh talent. If the premise remained the same, I would probably take a pass.

I am totally hooked on Crashing. It's fresh, edgy and reflects the reality of inner city living - young people having to 'crash' in disused buildings as property guardians. The script is fast paced and in every episode there is at least one laugh out loud moment which I would challenge anyone not to smile at. Kathy Burke as a lesbian Auntie and Kate's pretend business meeting spring to mind immediately!I applaud Channel 4 at being so modern & dynamic which Crashing perfectly fits with. Yes, it could be considered vulgar at times but not unnaturally so - this is all part of the real life fantasy that has been created. Can't wait for Monday!

Edgy, dangerous, eye-opening, real-life, very funny, brilliant cast, superb writing and wonderful interpretation by the cast. Well directed. Congratulations to all concerned. We want more ........ A lot of friends have been given hope living in a great city that through property guardianship they may be able to make it in London. This is a modern day Friends but with attitude! Brilliant set and very imaginative that it should be set in a disused/redundant hospital in central London. I hope we see lots more from the writer who is taking comedy/sitcom to a different level. She craft her work well and despite the storyline has a innocence about the circumstances.
