I laugh out loud at this show every time I watch. It's hilarious, but it has one problem... Jess. She has her moments but most of the team she is just annoying.

It's basically about a girl who for some odd reason, needs to live with 3 random men-The dream of all mothers of daughters, right? All of the characters are 30 year olds with no real drive or depth. They just act dumb, say silly things and "pose" a lot. "New Girl" has a few fun moments (I can't remember right now). However, the premise is so lame and Zoe Deschanel's character, "Jess", is so contrived and vapid that I actually cringe when she speaks. Her naive character is so forced that it is actually insulting to its audience. She dresses like a large preschooler and talks really, really slowly. So yes, I guess you could say that I'm not a huge fan. The worst part (which is why I'm here typing away) is when the Dad of one of Jess' students (I have no idea which Season this is...half the time I fall asleep) comes into play. He's creepy-old for her and there's no real reason for them to be together. There's no chemistry, but the question lingers, "Why would a wealthy, established, older man fall for such a dumb-a**?" Well....Ewww, I won't go there. Great message for the teen crowd for sure. And of course, Jesse says silly stuff and gets drunk so the Dad-date needs to "save" her. Yikes - It's THAT bad. I do like the CeCe character. She's the second main female character. She's beautiful, intelligent, and seems to know what she wants without acting moronic. Anyway....I know that this is a rambling mess, but I couldn't sit on my couch and take it! What we do to bond with our kids!

New girl is the perfect series to watch if u want to relax and laugh your ass off. The show has five seasons, twenty episodes per season and the episodes last about twenty minutes. There is a story line which continues throughout the episodes, but every story starts with a new story. The short episodes and the fact that every episode has a new story makes it really nice to watch with friends and family without having to see all episodes in order to understand the story. The story is about five roommates, four guy roommates and Jess. Jess is new to the loft and is yet to find her place. The first season evolves around Jess being the new girl in the house and getting to know the hilarious personalities. Winston, Coach, Schmidt, Nick, Jess and Cece are the main characters in the story. They all have their own background, but there's one thing they all have in common. They're all in their late twenties and not really sure about what to do with their lives. Failing careers, relationships that end up in disasters, bad decisions and zero assurance about what the future might bring make the series painfully recognizable and hilarious. All the characters have their own weird characteristics and because you get so much details about the characters through flashbacks and getting to know their families and backgrounds , you really get to know the characters and sympathize with them. Personally I really like the humour used in the series. It is really recognizable, which sometimes makes it painfully funny. The personalities are also very exaggerated and all their personalities' characteristics are extremely magnified, which makes it even more hilarious. I really recommend the series if you like silly, feel- good series that are not too serious. I hope you will give 'New Girl'a chance, because it is most definitely worth a try!
