Considering I haven't watched the previous movies and don't watch many old time horrors this movie was great. The storyline was good and kept you thinking throughout the whole movie but was also pretty predictable which occurs in most movies now anyway. The Gore and the graphics were good considering it was made quite a few years ago and isn't as horrifying as say ghost ship but still good graphics. The movie jumped strait into the story line with not much back story but it worked for this movie and was very glad I didn't need to watch the previous movies to understand what was going on. Overall very excited to watch number 4 and will defiantly give older movies a chance in the future.

,,,,,,,,,,, compared to the other last two movie in the series. I found the plot in this, way to silly even for the Wishmaster series and they tame down on the gore as well.I love gory kills in the first two movie, that what makes these movies more fun, that is another reason, why I didn't like it.As it was not fun to watch at all, like the other in the series. I hated the effect and that there new actor playing The Djinn, I just could not get used to him playing this role. he nothing compared to NathanielDemerest who fitted the role perfectly. The acting in this movie was not too bad, better then I expected to be. Also hated the ending of this what really poor way to end. 3 out of 10 (That 3 Points are for the acting)

I haven't reviewed a film in quite some time, but this one made me come back.I had enjoyed the first two instalments of the series, so I was of course curious about this one. It was a huge disappointment. I will briefly list why: this new djinn is lame and Jason Connery is no Andrew Divoff.gore is kept to minimum (it seems almost like this was made for TV, not DVD) supporting cast is dull and plain almost no special effects every single one gives a totally lacklustre performance but worst of all, the main character, A.J.Cook, is THE MOST ANNOYING PERSON EVER!!! She acts like she's 5 years old, she keeps whining and doesn't give a crap that her friends are dying one by one. Horrible, horrible person. This film is a major let-down. Absolutely NOT recommended.

CAUTION: SPOILERS!!!!!!!! This movie is about 12 steps down from the first one. First of all, I don't care what anyone says, the actor who plays the Djinn in this one, John Novak is totally NOT intimidating at all!!!!! In the behind the scenes extras on Wishmaster 1, Director Robert Kurtzman specifically says that he wanted to stay away from a story that revolved around teenagers and 20 somethings who were merely cannon fodder for the Djinn to go through like Kleenex. So as you can imagine, I was saddened to see that the setting is on a college campus, and that the story revolves around young 20 somethings. They basically did the complete opposite of what made the first movie so awesome!! Plus, the Djinn barely appears in his true form at all through this sleeping pill of a film. The story also takes an unexpected, yet unfortunate turn when the waker, A.J.(Diana Collins), wishes for the spirit of the archangel Michael (no I'm not making this up) to come and help her defeat the Djinn. MY GOD, I wish they had never made this movie!!!!!!!!!
