(Flash Review)This movie, while attempting to add a little depth, is rather shallow yet also mindlessly entertaining...if you like cars. This was made by people who are car lovers as there were a few noticeable detailed car dialog and car shots. Onto the plot, this is about a getaway driver for hire. He gets double crossed by a 3rd party during the middle of a job which of course angers everyone now in the mix. He is on the phone through most of the movie dealing with all parties, one being his teenage daughter. To no surprise some of the angry people try to track her down. How will everything shake out? There is a some above average cinematography, brief and solid car chases and an overload of swearing. Much more than necessary, even for a movie with shady and gruff characters. It's a modern and shallow car chase movie yet executed just fine.

I expected far more than this crap. I just watched THE DRIVER (UK TV stuff) before. Two (Drivers) movies in a row. But both are pure crap if you compare them to Walter Hill's and Nicolas Wnding Refn's masterpieces. This one may be an interesting scheme, concept. But only at first sight. But it was so boring. So predictable...The best should have been a bad ending, as for certain grade B pictures, as BURIED, for instance. Yes, that's it, it should have deserved a twist ending, a surprising end. And not this disappointing finale. Forget it.

I can't believe the low rating of this movie so I had to write this short review. This is a pure example of how a low budget movie can leave a proper impression with the viewer. Well written character driven story. Slow built suspense and a perfectly paced story. Frank Grillo carries this movie on his own. And this is the directorial debut of Jeremy Rush who also wrote this movie. A serious talent! I would have given it 10 stars but I noticed a serious editing mistake. You can figure it out yourselves... :) Still worthy of 9 stars. I am reminded of a Tom Hardy movie 'Locke'. If you enjoyed 'Wheelman', I recommend the latter.

This movie had an excessive amount of bad language in it, but the plot was absolutely intriguing and gripping. The action scenes were great. The special effects were good. The acting was superb. Overall, this was a very good film.
