Ignore the IMDb Bad Reviews! I am really starting to doubt the endorsements from the IMDb Users not to mention the blatant lack of taste and inability to discriminate. The casting is 100% on point. The Queen, Keaton, and Holmes form a perfect modern day, realistic Stooges routine, portraying regular people in a struggle we all go thru: MONEY! Danson was as equally hysterical as Keaton's husband. I don't think they could have cast different actors and achieved the same magic. It's smart, funny, and the plot is something that every viewer can completely related to and dream about. Don't miss out on this little gem!

After getting into a heavy debt, socialite Bridget Cardigan gets a job as a janitor at the Federal Reserve Bank. She observes how they handle the bills scheduled for destruction and gets an idea how to sneak some of their money. She finds accomplices Nina (Queen Latifah) and Jackie (Katie Holmes) to sneak out large sums of money out on a regular basis. This is a fool proof plan, cos apparently, in this universe, there are no serial numbers or any other measures to identify stolen money.I like Diana Keaton. She's a very talented actress, and I would have thought this simple role would have been a piece of cake for her, but as a criminal mastermind, she really comes off as stupid and unbelievable. Partly because of the stupid plans her character executes, yes, but I gotta say - partly due to poor acting as well. It looks like she phoned this one in.Anyway, they escalate their crime further and include more accomplices - husbands and boyfriends - and greed keeps them in the game far longer than they had initially planned. But they keep at it as if it's the crime that simply cannot be caught. And Katie Holmes' character apparently has spider senses which tingle when danger lurks - seriously, they avoid their plan one day because she got a bad feeling, and it turned out that they had a surprise inspection that day, which could have got them caught. In one scene towards the end, she has a Wile E. Coyote style contraption set up to destroy evidence at her house. I don't know what they were aiming at with this character. The premise is ridiculous, and the characters'are just not persuasive. Especially their greed that makes them want to keep going at this - It just got way too surreal too fast.

I was expecting to start watching this movie then switch it off. Yes my expectations were low. However this little movie was great, not great art but a great pleasure to watch. I am no fan of any of the three leading actresses but they made this a joy to watch. Ted Danson (who I could never warm to in Cheers) impresses me with his timing and (in Damages) his acting talent. The story is simply told and is absorbing, entertaining and (unusually for a modern comedy) funny. Not uproariously but it made me smile on many occasions. The viewer cares about the characters and what happens to them and that is a testament to the writing and direction. It is not the best comedy I have ever seen nor the best heist movie but the sum is greater than the parts. Keaton was very good and Queen Latifah was terrific support. I recommend this for a pleasant way to pass an hour or so.

Bloody awful! A career low-light for Diane Keaton - what was she doing in this? I understand there are not enough solid roles available for "serious" actresses - but this poorly written and even worse acted heist comedy should have been avoided at all costs by any top actresses - especially former Oscar Winners!I typically enjoy heist movies - dramatic or comic - but this film was so weakly plotted it took all the fun out of it. The only thing worth while was the impetus for the heist - the current woeful economy we are all suffering through. That being said - don't throw away your precious dollars to rent this one. If you need a comic heist lift - pick up Woody Allen's classic, "Take the Money and Run". That one ALWAYS delivers!
