I deny the existence of this horrible direct-to-video movie, so please DO NOT WATCH IT AT ALL because it'll only ruin your memory of other Land Before Time movies such as the original. I first heard of this movie when I was a kid, and whenever I would watch it I would always turn it off in the middle of the movie because I was bored and crying about this bad film. However, I was able to watch this whole movie when I was in high school a couple of times because I was then old enough to appreciate the film for the characters and story line of when they have to save an egg from being stolen by two greedy egg thieves, Ozzy and Strut who are dreadful and lousy villains.I'm in college right now, and all I can say about this Land Before Time sequel is that in every aspect, IT SUCKS! The songs are really cheesy and give me headaches such as "Peaceful Valley" and of course "Eggs". Not to mention the animation is ugly and all the voice acting is also really dreadful and painful, and this is definitely a movie that I believe should be extinct.Pass on this sequel, and if you want to watch a Land Before Time film other than the original, go with either #6 "The Secret of Saurus Rock" or #7 "The Stone of Cold Fire". If you watch those two Land Before Time sequels closely, you'll notice that the theme to those movies is a big resemblance of that from Hayao Miyazaki's Japanese anime masterpiece, "Laputa: Castle in the Sky".To summarize my review, THIS MOVIE IS BAD so pretend it doesn't exist.

Genre: Animation, dinosaurs, sequel.Main characters: Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike. I like these characters and I'm glad you see them so often on all these L.B.T films.Actors: The ones who do the main characters are Scott McAfee (Littlefoot), Candace Huston (Cera), Heather Hogan (Ducky), Jeff Bennet (Petrie) and Rob Paulsen (Spike). What happens: Some of our favourite cartoon dinosaurs are back in this really good sequel, this time happy to be in the great valley. They see two "egg-stealers" stealing an egg and go after them (which means braving the MYSTERIOUS BEYOND). Will they retrieve the stolen egg?My thoughts: I think this L.B.T is underrated. It is a good, clean, fun family film, with characters who are easy to relate to and a good and exciting storyline - perfect for children and some older people! :-) Yes, it is more happy than the original "Land Before Time" but children don't want to see another loved character dying - do they (although I love that film anyway)? For the wee ones, this is a good film for them to sit down to and probably for parents as well. After that you may wish to watch the others, go ahead if you wish! :-) This is a good series from beginning to end. Of course, this and the others have lots of flaws, but you are likely not to be disappointed by at least one aspect in each film! What you may like about the film: You may like the lovely and fun songs. You may like the animation. You may like the plot and storyline. You may like the characters. You may like the feeling of the story. These features pleased me and I hope they please you.Recommended to: Families who like cartoon films, people who thought the first L.B.T was a tad bit too sad and particularly for cartoon-loving children. Enjoy! :-)

If the kids liked the first film, then they will like the straight to video sequel. Personally I found it corny in places, but it does have an interesting story. The dinosaurs have made it to The Great Valley and are living there with their parents, Littlefoot by the way is living with his grandparents. The Valley has now got two dinosaurs stealing eggs from nests, one egg belonging to a Sharp Tooth. This Sharp Tooth, Chomper, is found by Littlefoot and he is trying to make him a nice T-Rex to be a friend to the other friends. The Sharp Tooths obviously get in the Valley and, chase out the egg thieves and the good dinosaurs block their entry. Kids will like it, I'm not sure I'd want to see it again. Adequate!

I am very loyal to ALL l.b.t films. It would be an insult to the director who probably just admired the first film and was probably eager to put his efforts into this sequel to tell him that his film is no good. Don's work cannot be matched by Roy's or Charles', but they gave their best work into the chain of sequels. The Great Valley Adventure is a charming treasure to both young and old(UNDERSTANDING old guys, okay?). The songs may be a bit irritating, but that he story is captivating and the it has a dose of laughter for young 'uns. At the very least, it will give you more than an hour of contentment with (SPOILERS AHEAD)the baby Rex Chomper and the fresh new villains Ozzy and Strut, plus the sharp-tooth duo. I do think that the song "Eggs" is at least amusing and that the sharp-tooth battle was worth seeing. Bye for now... I hope I didn't give too much away, I didn't know if that would be counted as a spoiler, but just in case...
