SPIDERS 3D is yet another cheesy B-movie in which mankind is menaced by a number of obviously fake CGI spiders which come up from the depths to attack New York. Luckily, ageing action hero Patrick Muldoon - still best known for his supporting role in STARSHIP TROOPERS - is around to save the day, aided by military tough guy William Hope (whom you may remember from ALIENS and HELLRAISER 2 back in the day). The story that follows has little sense but a lot of action, so how much you enjoy it purely depends on your tolerance for schlocky horror and sci-fi tropes. There's certainly nothing you won't have seen here before, that's for sure.

There are times when the perfect script is presented to a gifted director and the combined vision of the artists is so large it seems too immense to be confined to a motion picture screen. This is the case with this film and it is when the cinematic technology of 3D becomes more than a gimmick but an essential creative choice. The expression of such a concept as in this film requires it and no other technique would do service to the epic story. Superb director Tibor Takacs and screenwriter Joseph Farrugia have realized their vision in breathtaking fashion and their inspired collaboration has brought to the screen the incredibly intense, overwhelmingly terrifying, and stunning special effects extravaganza that is Spiders: 3D. This is not simply a movie. It is the epitome of all motion picture experience.

How these people qualified as actors no one knows. The acting was awful. This girl kept doing this annoying scream and don't get me started on the ending. Oh yesss we defeated a spider let's link arms and walk down the street. That sums up the ending for you. The dudes friends died you might as well played happy by Pharrel Williams.....he had no emotion hellllo your a human not a robot. Please do not watch it and save your self from a painful death. I know they must have worked hard on this film but come on you have all that money and you create..... that. I was really disappointed.... A great night with my family was spoiled when we could have been watching the 300 amazing films we already have. How this film ever got onto DVD I never know. If you chose to ignore me... Fine but enjoy your slow painful death. Me and my dad where ready to jump out the window. In fact it's sooo funny because it's sooo stupid. Do not watch it if you know what's good for you.

Heavily promoted in our areas and sold for a few Euro's even on 3D Blu Ray I picked this up even as I knew that this was going to be bad. On part of the 3D that really worked fine but the acting and the effects used that was something different. The effects used were all done by CGI, for some effects I can understand the use of it but here all effects were CGI, even the rats were CGI. But you keep watching this flick even as you know that it is going to be cheesy and predictable. And after a while you get used of the CGI but the biggest problem here is the acting. And again Christa Campbell (Rachel) is the worst to see here in Spiders. The way she's looking sometimes gave me the feeling that she was reading her lines. She sometimes was looking stunned to the camera. Just like being drugged or something. And it annoyed me a lot. But overall this is pure entertaining and it works, it never was boring because the action was there from the first minute but face it, only for the lovers of cheesy flicks and I have to disappoint the Kleenex boys, Christa her clothes stay on this time...Gore 0/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 1/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5
