This movie info says it was made in 2004. The audio and visual is like a 1987 home made movie so perhaps it took this long to get this piece of crap made/released. This loser weirdo who is a photographer kills the girls he takes pictures of. Then he goes to a store to get a VHS rental of a snuff filmed called Nutbag. Lol. Is this a horror or comedy?? Who can say?The acting and music is like a really sad porn flick. It's almost like you can't even pay attention long enough to follow the plot (wait? There's a plot?? I 'm sure there is I just don't know what it is. Lol ). Even the main character's mutton chops are severely dated.Beyond a waste of time.

I finally got an uncut copy of MSP and man, what a let down. With all that notoriety I kinda expected something way more extreme than this. Maybe back in 2004 things were different, but given that it came out the same year as SAW it's no more gory than that. I'm not going to attack the acting (like many have) as a lot of it's actually OK. The plot is as daft as a brush however with some crazy German, Nazi loving, woman hater, basically luring women to his dungeon, having violent sex with them, then killing them. But funnily enough, the actual kills are barely ever shown - and this is considered a brutal gore filled flick? Nope, it just isn't. The sex scenes are pretty rampant however so maybe that's where the bannings came from, but apart from a chainsaw scene near the end, a nail through a hand, and the stabbing of a child, it really isn't that shocking. Certainly not as much as it's made out to be anyway. I didn't totally dislike it as I've seen much worse in terms of dire horror movies, and I liked the rock track played over the end credits, so I think 5 outta 10 is fair.

First, I'll say this. I had seen this on a list of disturbing movies to check out. So seeing this at a video store that was closing, I called myself lucky. Thinking people were suckers to not get this. (This and Funny Games and The Changling) I'm also loyal to the gore and horror. And looking for things that delve into these kinds of things I feel would help give me new ideas for scripts that I want to write. But this movie was definitely not what I expected or hoped for.Plot: A German photographer has a nice girlfriend and a great car. But he has some skeletons in his closet-literally. By day he's your typical fashion model photographer. But by night, he stalks the City of Sin for strippers and other victims to add to a collection of death.I really can't describe my thoughts about what this would be like. I was just expecting to see something like a maniac tortures and kills his victims,as well as taking polaroids post death. Sort of like Peeping Tom,but with more blood. Damn, this movie was repetitive! I was thinking he would be the loving boyfriend in the day,but a psychopathic lunatic at night. Not totally neglecting his girlfriend to go slaughter strippers. And it's ridiculous that only Charlotte's (the photographer's girlfriend) little sister Jade sees through the photographer's bullsh!t and ends up being the one to get proof of it. Also, bare in mind that Jade looks like she's 12 or so.Also, the random flashbacks to irrelevant events bothered me. There's a scene when he's sleeping on a lawn chair and has this flashback to the fricken' 9/11 terrorist attacks. How that's relevant, I don't know. I also didn't understand his past as a child either. Only the fact he has a naked Barbie doll with the hands bound and "bloody" drawings. Same with stupid shots of him lifting weights and slitting the throats of strippers. Anyways, the only real thing we learn from him is that someone in his family was a Nazi that fought in WW2. (and obviously he's one too) If you don't want the ending of this, then please stop reading now. Anyways, after hearing that Megan (Jade's friend) went missing, Jade goes off to the photographer's house. She later finds the photographer's torture chamber in the basement. After beating him in the head with a plank of wood and stabbing him with a pair of scissors, she runs away. She's walking on the road and then it cuts to a shot on a Greyhound bus. It doesn't specify the time period. Like a few days, weeks, months or whenever. The Photographer is on the bus in a cowboy hat and joking around with a blonde haired girl that looks like Jade. He talks to a brunette girl, takes her picture and it ends there. So we don't even know if Jade is alive or the photographer caught up with her and killed her. If you honestly want to see this, then go ahead. But this will just be a waste of your time. This gets a 2/10 for me.Too repetitive - Leaving lots of loose ends and open ended questions - No suspense or thrill

*** also contains minor a spoiler to "Hostel" ***An old saying says "curiosity killed the cat". Well, I guess I was that cat, because I have never thought a film would make such an impression as "Murder-Set-Pieces" did – and I don't mean that in a positive way! Before you sit down to see Nick Palumbos gorno slasher, know this: it is a ride to Hell into the sick mind of a madman with all the graphic nudity, blood and torture you could ever imagine getting to see on film.Normally I'm not into horror films, but both "Saw" (the two first!) and "Hostel" (the first!) was big hits for me. I really loved them, especially "Hostel", which has become one of my favourite films. As many reviews have compared "Murder-Set-Pieces" with those two film series, I thought it might be worth watching. But there are many reasons why "Murder-Set-Pieces" is NOT worth watching. Opposite "Hostel", "M-S-P" is missing a plot. In Eli Roth's film, the story of an organisation selling backpackers to people who wants to kill a person was very frightening in itself, and it was much more than just blood and guts. I usually don't use words like misogyny about a film, but "M-S-P" simply floats in EXTREME hate towards women. In scene after scene they get degraded, raped and killed in the most unthinkable and sick ways. There is not plot, no storyline, no character development and the technical site is hopelessly amateurish. The film is driven by pure hatred and nothing else! You can ask yourself what has been the point of making this film? I imagine that Nick Palumbo wanted us to descent into the mind of a madman, but after watching this snuff-like film, I wonder who the real madman is, The Photographer or Nick Palumbo himself? One of the endless unbearable scenes takes place in The Photographer's death- and torture chamber in his basement. A young girl is tied to a chair. She screams and is covered in blood and panics more and more. He finds a big nail which he jams through her wrist which makes her empty her urine and faeces into a bucket below her in pure fear. Then he wraps a rope around her neck and strangulates her more and more. Finally he puts on a pair of sharp special made set of vampire teeth and then shreds her beautiful face and neck. It is those kinds of scenes "Murder-Ser-Pieces" is build up around, and it is tasteless and degrading in every thinkable way!Who should watch this film? People who have a depraved taste in film would probably like this little piece of horror fiction. So would people who grows an enormous hate towards women and want nothing else but disgusting and sickening torture of beautiful girls and children. Everyone else have to stay FAR away!!!It is everything else but a pleasant journey, and I'm glad I didn't react other ways than I did.
