Landing on planet Ithacon, a team of Marines runs into the leprechaun holding a princess hostage and rescues her, only to realize he's still after her and must find a way of dealing with his tricks to defeat him once and for all. This is one of the greatest guilty pleasures around. One of the best parts here is the fact that it goes far beyond the others due to how enormously cheesy this film is, from the central concept of being not only in the future but also in space which just doesn't seem logical why the series places itself there to begin with. The weaponry and futuristic look is a huge part of this as well as the concept of the continuous action scenes, and mixed together with the side-splitting jokes and visual gags presented by the Leprechaun and the very feel and tone for the film are just screamingly cheesy. By embracing it this time around without any kind of effort to keep it scary or thrilling, that environment can host situations as the half-man/half-machine scientist becoming a mutant creature or the comical kills including one where a face is crushed with a metal plate and where the Leprechaun emerges from a sacred part of the anatomy. The high amount of action in here doesn't harm it either and helps make this one more watchable by getting in plenty of confrontations between them that keeps the pace going along steadily. The opening firefight in the Leprechaun's lair offers plenty of cheesy fun in the strange location but with the majority of this one taking place on the ship there's a large amount of gunfights in here, making for plenty of exciting action moments. The shootout in the underground tunnel isn't that bad, nor is the one inside the garbage containment area, and the big battle between the two in the cargo bay finale provides some nice moments, while a cheesy hand-to-hand with one of their own comes off really good as well. Even that grand finale where the dual confrontations in the computer room and the cargo bay offer this one with plenty of thrilling moments that come the closest this one does towards offering up some suspense as the trip through the heating ducts is quite nicely realized and counters the fun of the giants' search in the other room and really makes this one so much fun. There isn't a whole lot really wrong with this one. The biggest issue here may be it's cheesiness may be considered too much for some to take, especially since it does take a certain mind- set to get into this style. Going for this one may not be for everyone's tastes considering the subject matter and style here considering the style and subject matter. The only other flaw to this one is the film's rather obvious cheapness which doesn't really give this one much of a chance to go anywhere since so many of the special effects here look pretty bad. The CGI effects in particular are really bad, as there's the display of his powers that are just silly while the use of it for the finale showing his body parts floating around in space looks really ridiculous. These here are the film's few flaws.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and Nudity.

Ahh, when I clicked on this movie I knew it would be full of horrible reviews by people who try to take the movie too seriously. I mean it even has comedy in the description. I've seen people talking about bad special effects. Seriously? You're watching this movie for the special effects? If you're a fan of the Leprechaun movies you're going to like them silly as some of them are. Just about ALL horror movies are lucky if they have over a 6 rating because only certain people appreciate them. This movie did all I need a movie to do. Entertain me, give a tiny bit of suspense and make me laugh. Given that Warwick didn't have as many clever one liners in this one, but still an enjoyable movie. If you're a die hard or even a casual horror fan, it is worth watching.

Since the end of the 90's I am watching movies, I know a lot about it. And I've seen really good things in all those years and incredibly bad things. Nothing could prepare me for what I would see in 2014. Leprechaun 4 is the worst thing I've ever seen. The storyline was such a chaos. There was never a point where you could clearly see where the story was going to. It was just a leprechaun and some crew on a space ship if you need to summarize this film. And again the Leprechaun had very few scenes and it gets worse ever film. The times I've seen him I can count on one hand. The storyline was just really bad.The Special Effects is something I'd like to say something about because this was extremely bad and even for the 90's it is really awful. They didn't even try to make something of it.I give this film 1/10 some jokes where fun but this is it. This is the last Leprechaun review I do because it would not be any better than this. I'd advice anyone to not look further than film 2.

A movie that received, very poor reviews by professional critics. But I find to be very underrated. Its true that the space affects, like what it looks like outside the ship are pretty bad, but those are the things that make this movie so awesome! What is more cool then a Leprechaun, in space trying to get it on with a hot space princess? Nothing. I love how the Leprechaun uses that lightsaber like thing, and just killed the space soldier! Then for a reason I never understood, the space princess reveals her breasts to a bunch of the space soldiers on the ship as a punishment. Pretty awkward, but funny and erotic moment. I love how the Leprechaun focuses mostly on the princess, but eventually tells her they need to go back for his gold! Still sticking to the series plot. And it had perhaps the greatest kill in movie history. When a male soldier is getting it with a female soldier, he gets an erection. And because he earlier had blown up the Leprechaun, then pee'd on it, the Leprechaun explodes out of penis and says one of the greatest movie lines of all time, "Let that be a lesson to you lads, always wear a prophylactic!" It was the most gross and funny, and awesome kill scenes I have ever seen in my entire life. The only problem with this movie that I have this is the one movie in the series in which the Leprechaun does not rhyme. In all of the Leprechaun movies he has a habit of rhyming for no apparent reason and its a great thing, but he for whatever reason just does not do that in this movie. Disappointing. But overall, this is the second greatest film in the series, and perhaps one of the greatest horror films I have ever seen in my life. I love this film, I recommend it to everyone in the world, this film is a 9 out of 10.
