The dialog that is about Christian vs Atheism is terrible and the girls that argue do not have their facts straight even about the legend the movie is based on. The villain in the movie is supposed to be based on the Irish myth of Stingy Jack. The original myth is spun/twisted to fit into the weird religious narrative between two of the girls. The movie totally fails to build suspense or be the least bit scary. I gave it a 5 because I liked the Pumpkin Headed monster concept with the vine arms. There is a memorable fight scene where two of the girls fight the monster with a club (big stick) and a sword. If you enjoy RPG's and are looking for a cool monster idea this movie is worth a watch. I would love to see the Pumpkin Head Monster with a better back story in a well-scripted film.

Judging by his hesitance to touch his partner's breasts, the male character in the sex scene may have been gay. This movie was interesting in the way the characters tried to use reason or faith to understand/defeat the killer. For me, the best part of this movie was the interaction between the atheist and the devout Christian (both of whom could be anuses at times). Ultimately the message of this movie is that we must respect, revere and make amends to Nature, else Nature will have his revenge upon us.
