Jack (Rob Corddry) and Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) who is very pregnant with twins moves into a Louisiana haunted house. F'resnel (Keegan Michael Key) lives in their crawl space. Meanwhile there is an umbrella killing happening in the Vatican as two Guido Sarducci wannabes head to New Orleans.The film is a generic spoof of horror films, lacking the good satire we have come to expect from the "Scary Movie" series. Much of the humor is overly slapstick while other humor is just downright stupid. "Hell Baby" is classified as a comedy horror without horror and needing quality comedy. The film had some good lines and a few good scenes, but unfortunately they couldn't maintain it. The police officers in the movie were a lame attempt at humor. As a computer Technician I am privy to many movies as I repair many computers with a large cache of movies on them so I did not know what to expect when I watched this hilarious offering from the guys who made Reno 911. Lets just say if you are not in a good mood when you begin to watch it, by the end you will have completely changed. Not only is it funny as Hell (baby) but there are a couple of scenes for admirers of the female form (so if nudity offends do not watch!) Definitely watch it with a friend as it is one of those movies you can share and talk about later. Don't be fooled by the title, this movie has absolutely nothing in common with the Hellboy series of movies. Lets hope they make a few more like it! Nine out of ten rubber chickens.

This movie is a very good example of the horror/comedy or dark comedy genre. It has a very talented and recognizable cast (even if they are not A list actors). It is basically meant to be a celebration and parody of the majority of modern horror films, much like "Scary Movie". However, this seems more fresh and original than the "Scary Movie" series has been lately. It hits on ever modern stereotype of horror, so do expect a few jump scares. This movie is not meant to be taken seriously so i would not suggest it to a person wanting a real horror film... That being said, this is a very funny movie and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good laugh.

Movie was dreadful, not even funny, or scary. I only finished to the hell baby and that wasn't even worth my pain. The movie was low budget, and had the most horrible acting I've seen. I've seen these actors in other films, though as well. And they're decent to say the least. But I guess they got paid to be worse. the effects were bad. Makeup jobs were horrendously bad, acting, once again, horrible. Glad I didn't pay to watch it. The plot during the movie was pointless. Not good enough to be an actual movie but not funny]bad enough to be a spoof. I advise that if you enjoy low budget no plot movies, this will be just fine for you then, But I definitely would not pay to watch this movie, ever. I don't recommend
