Tone, Script & Story: The story is how the rule of devils son is to be bought onto earth and how it is stopped mostly with the help of John Constantine. Our Constantine has a destiny that is hell bound, he tries to buy his way in heaven will he succeed? Thus summing it up, the Tone, Script & Story comes out to be all 'good'.Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: The visual appeal that is highlighted with elements those come into study when we consider the world with angels and demons lift up the movie. They altogether come out to be 'very good'.Final Verdict: One of the best movies of its kind consisting of our world and the places where Angel's and demons exist. It is worth adding to your collection.
... View MoreA well-produced action/drama that keeps you guessing throughout. Not all will enjoy this type of movie, but I thought it was fantastic. A very refreshing break from Reeves' MATRIX movies, the film has great special effects, an engaging plot that keeps you wondering and interested throughout, with an edge-of-the-seat ending that satisfies. I don't give all of the movies with Keanu in them positive reviews (though many are), but this one is definitely worth your time!
... View MoreContext. You need context. This review penned in 2017, some 12 years after the release. In this period, Marvel and DC are at each other's throats, each trying to monetize every character, sub-character, plot device and dust bunny from their respective libraries. Regardless of merit. It is all about the dollars.A story as pure as this one -- penned by Kevin Brodbin -- could never be done today because it lacks the setup for a dozen spinoffs and sequels, as well as the mandatory backstory and product placements.Sporting two of the most charismatic and photogenic stars of all time, at the peak of their careers, we have a story with no bad lines, no lapses in the arcs, and no time wasted. Just pure, engrossing, film pleasure from beginning to end.Yes, I know that it was not appreciated in its day. But the future is always the final judge.
... View MoreI have read other reviews, one in particular basically says that the movie wasn't meant to be gospel(the truth) but rather entertainment, I get that. However, the FACT that Heaven is real, God is real and Satan is real, regardless of whether or not YOU believe, makes it a serious matter to propagate the fables of the Catholic church and to trifle with the truth written in the word of God. There is a Satan, he is a fallen angel. Men do NOT become angels when they die. No amount of good deed will EVER win you a trip to heaven, in fact, if you count on your deeds to earn your way to heaven, you will be disappointed and find yourself in the place referred to as hell. That's right. Only Jesus can offer eternal salvation to those who accept Him and His death on the cross to pay for all sin. No amount of good deeds will make you MORE saved or less saved. But with ONLY good deeds, you WILL be lost forever UNLESS you repent. That is the ONLY message of the Bible. It isn't about punishing yourself for past sin, trust me, if you sinned, you punished yourself. There is always consequences for sin, some worse than others. Murderers are often judged and receive the death penalty, but even a murderer CAN and WILL be saved if he/she TRULY believes in Christs immaculate birth, righteous life and His own sacrificial death on the Cross. And add to that, His resurrection on the 3rd day. Yes, it is real, it is serious and making a movie DELIBERATELY PERVERTING the scripture is WRONG. Sorry, but the truth isn't always the way you wish it to be. Now you have heard the truth of the Gospel, now it is in YOUR hands to decide. No one can make a decision for you except you. We all must appear before God at the judgment. But if you receive Jesus as your personal savior(not a priest who is every bit the sinner as you and I happen to be), but go to the HIGHEST priest, Jesus, He and He alone forgives sin. Do NOT accept fables, believe the truth.
