If you want to watch women beat the hell out of each other this might be your movie. Otherwise this movie had a pretty weak plot, everyone ends up in a body bag one way or another. I guess the morale of the story is don't go to bars and meet strangers. This was like a Hunger Games version of women kidnapped and forced into fighting to the end for their loved ones and their own life. As if a group could effectively be out murdering random strangers who's female family member went missing and no one would see a pattern. Of course some of the women that are housed in cells closer together bond in some way but it is ultimately a fight to the end for only 1 woman to be left standing. The end just makes the entire movie a complete waste. After all the torment you'd think she wouldn't throw her guns away and just run haphazardly down the middle of the road but yep that is what she does. And thus ends your 90 minutes of violence.

The concept of the film kind of appealed to me... women forced to fight... the film starts off as an abduction film and it just kicks off with a brutal fist fight.... to the death. Raze... this reminds me of a 70's exploitation film, without that 70's look or feel. The fight sequences aren't bad, and the directors do enough to make it interesting enough with the simple plot and premise. This eccentric couple holds a to the death fight of 50 women once a year over 3 days 1 will win. It's a mix of Blood Sport and perhaps Hostel (maybe less grotesque, but there are scenes where girls faces are pummeled to dust). What I didn't like about the film is that this isn't Predators (where the premise is hardcore killers are being hunted), but this is a pure abduction (any woman can get abducted) film, where they are forced to fight and if they lose their families will be murdered (49 will lose so that's also a lot of murdering).Overall it was OK, but after the first 30 minutes it really felt a little too much. The ending also left a bad taste in my mouth.

How many times did Sabrina turn her back on an adversary before she had finished them off??? Obviously, this movie relied solely on the violence and revenge angle for entertainment, so why didn't they have some contestants refuse to fight so we could see their family members being killed or tortured? Why didn't the writers have Sabrina kill all the guests at the end? Why didn't the guests flee when they saw the 2 guards being killed? Why did Sabrina throw her guns away while, once again, turning her back. I guess the writers were stunt men because they "wrote what they know" leaving out plot and even logic from the movie. Rachel Nickels' salary must have taken up 90% of the budget. Know why she got killed off at the beginning? Because she begged the director to get her out of this movie as fast as possible. And what's the big deal about Zoe Bell? Wow, she's a stunt woman but they didn't have her doing anything special in this movie, no ingenious kills or fantastic Olympian moves, she's surely not eye candy except for her silicone work. I would have given another star if there had been some clothes being torn off or someone had expertly executed some t***y twisters. What a horrible predictable movie except the one pleasant exception when Zoe got killed at the end, which I cheered. And finally, the movie broke one of my rules for movies - there must be at least one likable character. I didn't cover all my pet peeves about the movie because life is too short to spend too much time on a time waster. If you must must watch this movie, watch the beginning set-up then skip to the last 10 minutes, you won't have missing anything.
