Tired seventh film in the played out Saw series is a dull endless series of screams and inane torture sequences. This sequel has survivors of the previous films getting together for group therapy, but guess what? Jigsaw's gruesome Rube Goldberg torture devices once again make these boring characters go through a series of unpleasant no-win choices in order to survive. As with the prior sequel, the torture devices and the scenarios do each time make me ask myself, "What would I do in that situation?" but that's not enough to justify the continuation of this series. This sequel and the prior two Saw films were written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, who wrote the underrated and crassly enjoyable three "Feast" films and "Piranha 3DD," which I think all worked much better than their Saw scripts because those films included a fair amount of humor and did not take themselves seriously at all, whereas these later Saw films are completely devoid of humor. Darren Lynn Bousman's films at least have some hints of irony and black humor, but the deadly seriousness of these later sequels just doesn't work. Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, and Betsy Russell all return, but there's really not much to recommend about this film that you haven't seen already.

Saw VII,I never actually got around to seeing,after Saw VI,I drift away from it,moving in to my own house,paying bills and sh*t,well,now,due to Jigsaw coming out,which by the way,I'll review either on Sunday or tomorrow night,I watched..boy! Was I in for a great treat! Saw VII is the "final chapter" in the Saw series continuing on to the end. Saw VII is definitely one of the worst horror films ever,there was not one thing that I liked,other wise then that I thought the series was finally going to die of weakness,nope! Saw VII had some of the weakest ever acting and,the traps,OH MY GOD,THE TRAPS!!! The traps were so awful,they took up like so much time and they were so awful! Tobin Bell never actually returned at all and that was sad,probably saw a few private filmed scenes and was like..OH HELL NO! I don't know what Saw VIII:Legacy or otherwise known as Jigsaw will be like,so far I have heard mixed reviews but it dose'int look bad,so lets hope,Saw 1,2,3,6 will come back and not 4,5 and 7. Saw VIII is nothing,literally..NOTHING!!

Well what were people expecting going in? To see a fiery filibuster monologue? Mr Smith Goes to Washington? Citizen Kane? (not that I have seen it) Rhett and Scarlett O'Hara? It *is* supposed to be a fast food movie to satisfy your craving. I mean it *is* supposed to have:a solid 'hook' for opening scene (which I really loved) - crazy creative entrapments - ex cathedra speech as tapes and videos are played - social justice, making people pay for their 'crimes' - end sceneIt is a boilerplate movie and supposed to follow the cliché script. I mean even Sherlock has become formulaic as the Season 4 installment began. People expect it to be 'creative' but how much do you think the director and producers should work on it? I don't think they need to overdo it.If you are watching this series in a marathon, you will get bored. So best is to give a buffer time - which I did- and gladly enjoyed it to the last bit.Not every entertaining movie has to be Dostoevsky you know..

I love this movie honestly despite all the kinda negative reviews i like this movie and i would love a saw 8 it needs to happen i think this should happen because all the unanswered questions such as why Dr Gordan joined there group who the 3 extra guys are in the mask and a bunch others i cant think of from the top of my head i just love too see the saw series return! it would be a great return and i think it would be a box office hit tbh i think people would enjoy it if it was creative and original! if you agree check out my new message board i posted and comment if you think there should be a saw 8 or no?! thanks for reading sorry if there was any spoilers in my review
