I absolutely love this film, regardless of how many times I watch it - it continues to make me laugh. Rik and Ade have brought 'Bottom' onto the big screen and really have done it justice. It's great to see some, now, famous faces in this film - I think it has placed the comedic genius of these two writers on a splendid pedestal! This is very much, obvious and blatant humour. Not at all dry, or subtle. But - if you're at all familiar with these two comedians, you'd expect nothing less! But it is absolutely fabulous! Anyone who likes the original televised series will love this and similarly, if you like this but have not seen the televised series - I'd strongly recommend a viewing. As a side note, however. If you're not fond of the T.V series, you'll most probably dislike this film also.

This was a funny movie and i am a big fan of The Bottom episodes and shows, however this has a very underrated rating. Its great though to say its budget was just 2million! Its comedy factor isn't as great as some of the earlier television episodes however it doesn't leave any of the best jokes out. Some may consider this a poor movie but befoure you judge it be sure to check out the television series first. Rik And Adrian edminson are two fine comedians who deserve another shot at Bottom and maybe even a guest house II. This movie has great acting and has a hilarious setting, overall this movie is pure bladder bursting fun and easily deserves a 9/10.I think you'll have to be British to like it though cause Americans have a different sense of humour?

This was a very enjoyable hour and a half or so. I watched it just because I was testing out the TV reception in my new-to-me room, and it was on as the "late night show" or whatever they put on just before scheduled broadcasting for the day ends.Anyhow, the show was really crude, and reminded me of why I liked British humor. I won't spoil it but I will explain why I gave it 8/10: first off, it is comedy, and comedy should make me laugh. This definitely did! The humor is definitely of an adult nature, and crude, but that's apparently the style of the "Bottom" series, but I can't be sure as this is the first and only I've watched. The reason took off two points, though: it isn't perfect. Production values aren't horrible but they're not top-notch either. More relevantly, there's nothing in the presentation that made me go "wow". However, I wasn't expecting it to, it was a comedy! Finally, the beginning of the show was, in my opinion, paced too slowly and abruptly. It should have given a more solid sense of the hotel/guest house and its context, rather than leaving contextual facts to be introduced only moments before they are used in a gag.... but that's just my picky opinion. As a comedy, this is definitely something I'd want to buy and own.
