Pretty good action flick. The usual stuff showed up. Pistols with endless magazine capacity. Why doesn't the guy pick up the guns of the other guys he kills etc. The hand to hand fights aren't "TOO" bad. It's not like bad Kung Fu movies with ninjas jumping around waiting for their turn to fight the guy in the center. It's close, but not quite to that point. Generally a watchable movie. I'll watch more in the franchise. The blurbs can't seem to make up their mind. "He's an Ex-Marine". First off, you're never an "EX" Marine. The blurbs also call him a SEAL. Photo early in the movie shows him in a USN uniform as a PO2, but no Trident. I don't think the uniform is accurate for his rate. And I'm not even sure the single breasted coat he's wearing is a USN uniform item at all. Sometimes little continuity and factual background stuff like that turns me off to a movie. I mean, come on, get the easy stuff right. Someone, somewhere in the production organization was in the Navy or the USMC.

As much as I think MJW is highly under-appreciated as a action star.. this film was poorly executed with minimal production, feels more in line with a TV production, with action sequences and panning equivalently equal to a modern day show like NCIS. You cannot simply vote this high, even if you are a MJW fan, for the most part he does"OK" but its a boring convoluted plot line, that adds nothing to the actual development of the film. The entire thing is dragged down and there isn't enough action sequences to overcome the stark reality of how mediocre the actual story is. I was brought to the film by MJW, but he cannot make more like this and expect me to return to his films.

This film wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. I got this film after seeing a trailer for it on IMDb and I also had the film "Blood and Bone" in mind. Both films star Michael Jai White. Although "Blood and Bone" was simple and predictable it was pretty good, unlike this film. There were a few good action scenes in this film but not enough to compensate for the lack of a deep story line and strong plot. John 'Falcon' Chapman (Michael Jai White) is an ex-marine who goes to Brazil to find and fight the Yakuza gang who violently attacked his sister. See, simple but it could have been way more effective. The acting in this film wasn't bad but it wasn't the best. Some people like Laila Ali should keep their day jobs. I'm not throwing shade I'm just telling it from an artistic view. Some of the acting was a bit stale at times and not very convincing. I just expected more from this film. Now don't get me wrong, this film wasn't so bad to where I couldn't stand it. It's worth watching if you have absolutely nothing else to watch or do.

Great balance of humor, fight scenes and story. Its got a good plot that keeps it interesting, not overly complicated but better than your average sister/friend/wife gets beaten or killed then uncontrollable rampage, there's a little more going on. There's a few twists in the plot some easier to spot than others but for an action film its does the job perfectly. The acting is good, a little dry in places more so from the other characters, Michael Jai White plays his part really well and has some great throw away lines. There's some good choreography and use of weapons and different styles of fighting, plus its not ill take on an army with guns using just kung fu, the fights adapt as the need arises. Will be recommending this to some friends and probably watching it again. All in all fun film well worth a watch.
