In a quiet countryside farmhouse, Britain's vampires gather for their once-every-fifty-years meeting. Others will be joining them too; Sebastian Crockett, an unwitting Essex boy who thinks he's on a promise with sexy cougar Vanessa; and a detachment of Special Forces vampire killers who have bitten off more than they can chew. This is certainly going to be a night to remember... and for some of them it will be their last.

I really enjoyed this twist from the usual vampyre tales and lets face it,if your looking for comedy horror with a twist, that isn't the same old, same old hollywood trash, you can trust the british to come up with the goods every single time. This offering involves a bunch of vampyre's trapped in a farmhouse in the country side, surrounded by no less than the British army led by a crooked Brigadier, and their fight to escape.Empathy is definatly aimed at the vampyre's here and they successfully gain it from me.The acting is excellent,as would be expected from such a renowned British cast, particular standouts for me were Billy Cook (Sebastion),Tony Curran (as the delightfully evil Peter Boniface) and Annette Crosbie (Alice) as the not so sweet old lady vampyre. The camera work was excellent throughout the film.If you love vamps ,blood and fun then this is definatly a movie to watch more than once.

Sebastian (Billy Cook) has been personally selected by Vanessa (Eve Myles) to become the eighth member of their vampire group due to a recent opening. Things do not go as planned and to complicate things Vatican military forces (not the guys in the Swiss costumes) show up with the intent of eradicating the vampires. However, their actions give rise to sympathy for the blood suckers. The film was a comedy-horror, without much horror. I liked the details such as the personalized license plate "BRAM 1." The script had funny dialogue, yet I felt this was an area that could have used improvement. Worth a watch.Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

i did not get it. Is it meant to be a mixture of a mafia flick (vampires gather to administrate turf rights)? I really tried to get into it but in the end my Instagram news feed was more interesting than the movie. Putting a granny with an automatic weapon also does not make a good joke automatically. I could have given 1 star but I did not mean to offend.

I'm giving this fairly low score even though I actually liked a lot of this movie. That's because overall it doesn't deliver. There is definitely a lot of potential here. The plot is fairly simple and quite sound, though sadly unfulfilling. The cast is a mish-mash of capable (and quite talented) actors and equally talent-less armatures who couldn't make first cut in a pre-school play. This is probably the biggest issue with the film though the writing is equally as inconsistent.I simply don't think the story or script were ready for production. As I said, there are some good bits with some quite funny scenes, but there is simply too much screen time which is decisively average or below par, and this really causes the story to labour. Just a bit of rehashing to bring the general level up a notch or two would have worked wonders for this film.Aside from the oversized vampire teeth which when worn made all the actors speak like they were wearing false vampire teeth, the special effects were actually quite good. This was also somewhat surprising given the skimping that went on the cast, but hey, credit where due.Hope this helps.
