OK I know this is a movie that you either love or hate. I do realise that the people who hate it it's mostly because it's like E.T. But I think that's the good thing about it, E.T was such a classic but people now a days don't watch E.T it's quite old I know that I never watched E.T until I saw this at the cinema with my brother. This movie just shows how much E.T is appreciated, this movie though is very different to E.T. So people should stop complaining about it being a copy of it.Earth To Echo is amazing in its own way because I bet many people have watched E.T but I don't think many of the younger people of this generation would have watched it or heard of it. But Earth to Echo is the new modern day version that was created for many of those people who never seen E.TI infant love Earth To Echo I thought it was a great movie I really loved watching it, I'm not so sure about the people in the same cinema as me. I think I might have enjoyed it to much and got a bit excited and chatty!! WHOOPSS but that's how you are when you get to see a great and fun movie, I remember me and my brother talking about this movie for ages and then when it came out I went straight out and bought the DVD. I was so happy that I had got the DVD and I could watch it again and again. Overall this is great movie so you haters who are saying its a copy of E.T, Who cares, it doesn't matter what you think. Most people love this movie and you should definitely watch it.I'm though am still waiting for the sequel!!!!!

The movie Earth to Echo was a very creative movie and wasn't just like every other cliché movie with aliens in it. There were a few parts that did remind me of another movie but besides the one or two parts that contained something that reminded me of another movie, it was original. The editing in the movie was very commendable and the parts that showed Echo's sight was also creative and commendable. In the movie there are three boys who are best friends who are forced to move out because of a road being made right above their homes. A few days before they have to home out, one of their phones starts to show a map. They all decide to go to where the map is and they end up finding an alien who needs help to get back home.My opinion on this movie is that it is very creative and I liked how it wasn't just like every other alien movie. It had a interesting plot and the special effects creative. The ending was slightly easy to guess but the story itself was very creative and the movie was very interesting.

EARTH TO ECHO is a bit sentimental, but all Sci-Fi. A neighborhood in a small Nevada community is being altered to make space for a new freeway. Three young pals are facing their relationships going in different directions and want their last night together to be memorable. Tuck('Astro'Bradley) is a video blogger; his best friend Alex(Teo Halm) and electronics-geek bud Munch(Reese Hartwig)get the night of their lives.A very mysterious disruption takes over their cell phones...that is deciphered as being a map. The buddies take out on their bikes to travel in the desert to see what lies at the end of the mystery map. What they discover will more than likely change their lives forever and who knows, may even save their neighborhood. Oh, what a night. And a new friend, Emma(Ella Wahlestedt)gets to share a most adventurous evening.Terrific special effects make for a grand finale. Maybe saves the whole film. Real nice soundtrack features the music of Logic, Holychild, Mountain, Buddy Holly, OneRepublic and All-4-One.

My 8 year old watched this on Netflix with her little sister and proclaimed it "One of the BEST movies I've ever seen, Mom!" They then proceeded to nag the rest of us to watch it for the better part of a week. I'm so glad I finally did. I truly don't understand all the negative reviews. This is a fun movie with an excellent story line. Our whole family enjoyed it, and that's saying something. We all of course love the big budget CGI action flicks like what Marvel's been doing, but we also cherish the modern classics like Goonies and ET, which this movie has been heavily compared to. Sure, this is no Spielberg or JJ Abrams, but it reminds me of the movies Spielberg used to make. It has a great story, and even if it is a bit far-fetched, what sci-fi flick isn't?! It's clean, and fun, with some really great effects, and it doesn't rely on nudity or the female character sexualizing everything like a many of today's movies. This kids are simply kids, navigating today's world, but with that timeless feeling we can all relate to. I'm pretty sure everyone who has rated this negatively has forgotten what it was like to be a kid, and how movies made them feel as a kid. When you're a kid, anything is possible, and the adult world is perceived as both frightening and exciting. and isn't it? As for the reviews about the camera and shaky feeling, I thought it was a great cinematic concept. It made the movie really feel like you were with the kids and seeing things from their perspective. And for the people whining that the female character was a purposeful afterthought...really? Does every film have to align with someone's activist agenda? No. Great films are great because they tell a great story--not because they included a social agenda. Kids don't think about making sure their friendship circles include an equal racial and gender mix. They just see their friends, and that cute girl/boy they pass in the hall. The inclusion of Emma was a great addition and she helped the story line along. She learned things from talking to Echo that the boys never would have simply because it's how girls communicate. So I think negative reviewers ought to re-watch and think again, remembering what it was like to be a tween. This film was great, and I would gladly watch it again! And I'm so grateful to have girls who would rather find quality stories like this to watch than the latest agenda-laden film or cheesy children's flick, or even Frozen. Storytelling for family movies is a lost Hollywood art.
