This is such a wonderful film. It truly makes you wonder, how many times this kind of story actually has happened (not with as many kids) in real life. The story line is brilliant. The actors they chose, couldn't have done any better. This is 100% a must watch movie.

the premise is interesting and fairly untapped but there was no real character arc for Vince Vaughn - he goes from a guy who wants to have a baby (despite the protests of his miserable, useless friend) to a guy who has more kids than he could possibly imagine. However, this means that he has not developed at all: he didn't learn that he actually did want kids because he wanted them already, he didn't learn to be more open due to his diverse students because he wasn't prejudiced before anyway, his job seems pretty unrelated to his character and also teaches him nothing. Due to this lack of character arc the plot seems to just meander without the viewer being particularly connected. Stuff kind of just happens with minimal set up and as a result although well paced, you often find yourself asking 'is this film actually going anywhere'. the film asks some interesting questions about rights of parents, particularly sperm donors, but in some ways it raises so many questions that it doesn't answer any of them adequately or satisfyingly. The film doesn't really have a message and if it did that would help to tie together the random seeming plot developments. zero chemistry between Vince Vaughn and Conor Smulders and no real reason why he can't tell his girlfriend about all his kids apart from some bogus law suit that doesn't even really make sense since Vaughn seems happy to meet his children?characters have no real depth - to the point that at one point they refer to Vince Vaughn by his character's name and I thought he might have been using a fake name because I was so underinvested in this character that I didn't even know is name. This lack of connection means that key plot points fall flat because, for instance, I don't really care that Vaughn is in debt because he doesn't seem to have any real personality traits or flaws.as you watch this film you also think 'who is this film for'? It's not really a comedy, I mean I didn't laugh throughout the whole film, but it's also not taking itself seriously enough for a drama. conclusion: this film is confused about what it is and as a result it lacks coherence, doesn't endear the audience to the characters and results in the viewer very quickly forgetting the film/taking absolutely no message away from it.

if this was an assignment, then there would be some nice things to pinpoint. BUT the way I hallucinate and see things may be bullshit compared to the carelessness attached to it...kinda like the end of that football film with aaron Eckhart... I'm having so much fun I actually think condensing a synapsis with not a lot to say toward either film, Except that I liked the football film more, and liked the way Chris Pratt acted.....here. I don't have to explain anything but...when VINCE who is STARBUCK who is David is done following one of his promiscuous gay kids...he links up with a son who allows his vocabulary to change.....and while they get out of the woods in this scene, there's like a temporary tent city where this son says to David that he wants himn to himself, and its not the GAY one he followed....but by far the best part and really confusing part would have had to have been when his BUD went to acting and he ran into a girl who overdosed in her apartment, somehow linking and suggesting that the guy who left his bartender position was the BOYFRIEND of this girl who overdosed, THAT David played by vince vaugn was empowered as a chaperone who then was key in the release of the WOMAN who overdosed, on purpose is remained to be known.

Delivery Man 2/10- There is not a whole lot I can say about this movie. I thought the premise of the movie had a lot of potential, but it was not directed well and as a result the movie suffered from it. A comedy where a man who is all ready down on his luck and then finds out that he is the biological father of 533 children sounds like a good comedy that Vince Vaughn could pull off. Sadly, the movie leans more towards the heartfelt side of cinema then comedy that we are all used to from Vince Vaughn. I have nothing against those feel-good movies and in- fact I enjoy them often, but I was really looking for a some laughs when I came in to this movie and I could not help but feel disappointed. The jokes were poorly written and executed. I think it was apparent that Vince Vaughn did not give his best effort in this movie, but again he had very few jokes to work with and it was hard to blame him for it. Everything else in the movie I had no problem with, but it just made me a little sad that a movie that looks hilarious with such a great idea turns out to be a heart-felt film with comedy on the side. If you want to take your family to see something and frozen is already sold out, Delivery Man is something you can try, but otherwise, wait for this to come out on DVD.
