Wizard-8

You might think that this movie being a coproduction between two countries (Canada and France) that they would be able to pool together resources and money to make at least a good looking production. Think again. This is a REALLY cheap movie - the cinematography and sound make this look like a production from City Lights (before they improved and became PM Entertainment). The weather sometimes changes between shots, and there's a hilarious sequence when the characters suddenly jump from the filmed-in-Quebec background and find themselves with a California backdrop. But there are precious few laughs besides that. This movie is REALLY boring - it's mostly people talking tough, but doing precious little that is actually tough in action. I rented this because Michael Ironside was in it, but even he can't work up to his usual standards in this cheapie bore.

As you'd expect, spunky Richard Grieco is decked out in lots of black leather. So are many of the other characters, so visually, this is a great film if that's your fetish. As far as acting goes, all the leather is replaced by cardboard.Characterisation is extremely complex. What you need to understand is that the teetotal, non-smoking, God-fearing family man is the good guy, and that the hard-drinking, smoking atheist with a few homosexual tendencies is evil. This may cause some confusion.

This was by far the worst movie I have seen in a long time. The acting, if you can call it that, was terrible. This was so bad that I kept falling asleep and had to see some of it over again to make sure I didn't miss anything. Don't waste your time or money on this one!

I've seen student films better than this. What a load of crappy crap. And, to top it off Sean Young plays a slow-talking Indian. This is awful!
