Arthur and the Invisibles Trailers

Arthur is a spirited ten-year old whose parents are away looking for work, whose eccentric grandfather has been missing for several years, and who lives with his grandmother in a country house that, in two days, will be repossessed, torn down, and turned into a block of flats unless Arthur's grandfather returns to sign some papers and pay off the family debt. Arthur discovers that the key to success lies in his own descent into the land of the Minimoys, creatures no larger than a tooth, whom his grandfather helped relocate to their garden. Somewhere among them is hidden a pile of rubies, too. Can Arthur be of stout heart and save the day? Romance beckons as well, and a villain lurks.

It was a long time since I watched this movie in the theaters.Almost 4 years ago.It was one of the best movie choices I ever did.First of all,I have to say that this is a movie that everyone will enjoy. It's adventurous and fantastic, the worlds underneath a garden(and in a garden!)are magical and no one would ever imagine there could be such creatures in such a simple place!I think that this gives a hope to younger children that they could have Minimoys in their garden, like I did years ago. It's fantastic, the fights and the adventures that Arthur passes with his two fellows,Selenia and her brother Betameche!A magic journey, that you'd wish you could experience too!I suggest it with no worries,it's one of the best animated movies and it's the first movie of the sequel Arthur and The Minimoys! You better watch the next two ones afterwards to live a long, magic adventure!I did so and I definitely didn't regret it!(Also,I would like to advise you to ignore the details and the goofs, because it doesn't worth to aware of them, they are really unimportant to the plot of the movie and unfortunately a lot of people did here.)Ten stars out of 10 and it deserves it,because in case you didn't know,in 1999 Luc Besson and Patrice Garcia started to work on it and everything(the whole sequel)ended in 2010!Arthur and the Minimoys is a great movie!Watch it with your children, friends or on your own,but one thing is sure;you'll enjoy the adventure! :)

'Arthur et les Minimoys' is a charming little children's adventure film. The world of the Minimoys is well created and it is the animated sequences that are much more fun than the acted sequences even though Mia Farrow and Freddie Highmore keep the latter sequences alive while the rest of the actors don't. There has been some nice creative input behind the making of the world of Minimoys. The animation is lively, the vibrant colours and detail are fascinating, the characters are lovable, especially Princess Selenia and her brother and the voice casting (that includes Madonna, Harvey Keitel, Jason Bateman and more) is great. The adventure with Arthur, Selenia and her brother is fun and engaging. How often do you get to see characters sleeping on a cosy bed of pollen, straws being used as a water supply or figures dancing on a moving LP disk? The romance between Selenia and Arthur is well handled. Moreover the film balances the comedy, fantasy and adventure feel very well. Overall, 'Arthur et les Minimoys' is a cute little fun film. Clearly, Luc Besson's intention was to make a children's film and he has succeeded in making a nice one.

I love Luc B. The guy is a genius - so why on earth did he make this cliché loaded live/action animated hodge-podge of J. R. R. Tolkien's, Lewis Carroll's & T.H. White's finest? Answer: Money.Arthur and the Invisibles cheats. Despite a stellar cast - it is a story without an original thought. It is also poorly executed. If I were in Harvey Weinstein's shoes - I too would have been appalled. This is a dog's breakfast of a kid's movie. It's cable off-peak-viewing filler...a mere layer above a Bowflex infomercial.OK, so that's hard; but consider this: The visual transfer from live-action character to animated entity is beyond clumsy and is story stopping. (Remember, I really like Luc Besson.) The animated characters look like $2.00 Chinese knock-off's of fibre-optic haired plastic knock-off's from George Lucas's merchandising product shelf. Shame on you Luc! And shame on Harvey Weinstein too. How could he have ever greenlit this slurry of derivatives? And Harvey has given us some pure genius too over the years.Give Luc a break. Don't even consider watching this mess. Harvey is wrong. Luc B. is no has-been. Harvey, however, was wearing green tinted sunnies.Tom Storm

We rented this movie as one that we could watch with my three year old and I can't tell you how many times she's requested to watch it again in the few days that we've had the movie. It's very cute, the animated parts quite entertaining. I found the script to be very bizarrely written. The kid doesn't talk like any other kid I've met of that age, it's as if some thirty year old is speaking through him but that happens when an adult tries to write a child's perspective. There are a few plot holes that made me arch my eyebrow but besides that, it was very enjoyable. It's one of those fungus movies where my initial reaction was "it's okay but not one I would care to own". Now, after being conned into watching it multiple times, I wouldn't the least bit annoyed if it joined our collection.
