I really like this show for its main plot. I was a huge fan of Quantum Leap and there are enough high level parallels. Season 1 was better than a 7. But Season 2 just had too much focus, yet not enough continuity, on the individual '21st" subplots for each character. They focus on a subplot, then it disappears for a while with any hang-ups in one episode mysteriously forgotten in the next. One minute McLaren is getting in trouble for forgetting his anniversary. The next minute they're back in love. One minute Trevor is off to private school, yet that never gets revisited. One minute Carly is working on custody of her son. Then she disappears for days at a time again and yet all is well.It seems the only subplot they really consistently focus on is Marcy.

Hard to describe this show and not have spoiled the surprises, but I'll give it my best. It is about time travel, well sort of. It is more of a cosmic soap opera, said with great admiration for the writers. Each of the characters is introduced to the audience almost singly and so is the future There is no question of confusion that most time travel movies require. We don't see the future, and we learn about it only in bits and pieces. Acting is a solid 10 Pacing is excellent Local looks like Spokane, and there a few Washington license plates I think special effects would destroy the plot Try the first episode, you wont quit "Welcome to the 21st"

The show is one of the most realistically possible imaginations of time travel. Just two episodes prior to the second's season's finale is an episode called "21C" (S02E10). One of the strongest episodes of the entire series.But it all amounts to nothing if the story developed throughout the series is given needless twists. The creator has supposedly said that it would be great to stretch the series, but i would disagree. It is more graceful if the series came to its natural conclusion. Now the third season is reportedly going to be more about Artificial Intelligence.I think the underlying story of Man VS Machine which was hinted across the series will be developed in the third season. I am suggesting everyone to watch this. But also suggest the makers of TRAVELERS to not lose the humane side of the story. That is what makes this show great. The natural conclusion would be an AI utopia, but a more realistic one would be of the existence of duality. So as long as there is a mind that can question, there would be the irresistible desire to do beyond what one is told.

I just finished watching season 2 of this series. It is absolutely phenomenal. I've been a fan of Eric McCormack in a few other series (Lonesome Dove, Perception), but his performance in this series is outstanding. The remaining cast of MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, Jared Abrahamson, and Reilly Dolman really round out the cast of Travelers.I can't wait for Season three.
