Could have been very good but it seems like they don't let them do what the writers wanted to or they don't have the thing sorted out. It is very common that animation for the US market has issue with killing, if the enemy is using a helmet or is in a ship, then kill him and no problem. But if is one of the main antagonist and maybe killed hundreds and will continue to destroy everything, well, you can't kill that character on purpose if you are the good guy. It is funny how they force push stormtropper to their doom and destroy entire ships without remorse. Also Ezra almost always is behaving like a child. Someone: "don't do that" Ezra : "what? i can do whatever i want, you will see........ you were right"Just want to see it end but am not hoping nothing amazing about the story.

It took me the whole first season to warm up to this animated series, a sequel to the commendable "Star Wars - Clone Wars" -- an otherwise superb series marred by the all too frequent appearances of Jar-Jar Binks (the most obnoxious cultural artifact since the Lascaux Cave Paintings). But I totally fell in love with "Rebels" by the start of the 2nd season. The animation was beautiful, the characters were engaging, and the plot lines were very well executed. Plus I ADORE Ahsoka Tano, and she has a good number of appearances in this series -- so that's WIN in my book. However, this last season which focused on the struggle to win back Lothal (Esra's home world), placed far too much emphasis on the Loth Wolves, giant, sentient, force-infused creatures. As the final season progressed, this reliance on magical animals culminated in the absurd deus ex machina ending where these magical wolves and magical Purrgils (the space whales) sweep from out of nowhere to save our beloved heroes and crush the wicked Imperials including the mighty Grand Admiral Thrawn. So disappointing.Initially I was hoping that "Star Wars - Rebels" would be an adult animated series that could also appeal to children, but alas, it turned out to be a cartoon designed for children with some limited appeal to adult fans of the SW universe.

Yes, i accept this show is for kids and at times that really comes across but as a huge Star Wars fan i feel like this show does a really good job of giving us the fans some added context and interesting stories that broaden the universe. The premise of season 3 sees the crew of the Ghost attempt to lead the rebellion to victory over the empire while avoiding a new calculating adversary. Ezra Bridger has always been the main character on this show and i thought this season developed his character very well. After the events of lasts season he is torn between the light and dark side of the force and i thought they matured him alot this season to change him from annoying child to complicated leader. Freddie Prinze Jnr reprises his role as kanan jarrus and after last season's finale he has to go through changes this season that also develop his character and his relationship with Ezra as time goes on. The rest of the crew, Hera, sabine, chooper and zeb all have stand out moments, i especially liked sabine's story over the season that interested me alot. There is two main villains this season on the show first after his return at the end of last season Maul is a lingering threat on this show and his story was fascinating to watch as it resolved itself in a way that was hugely satisfying. The main villain though is Grand Admiral Thrawn and he is a great antagonist, he is always one step ahead of our heroes an he is just such an interesting complex villain that brings out a different side of the empire. The story is set in a really interesting time period in Star wars history as it sees the slow formation of the rebel alliance and i found different aspects of this story really interesting as these people come together to fight the empire, an entity that sees interesting subplots amongst themselves. The script being based for kids has some very childish but some of it can be charming and funny. to be honest the drama does work for this show and it is definitely darker then your average kids show which i appreciate. The style of the show is grander this year with more big battles and it really works to raise the scale and get you closer to the vents of Rogue one. But the pacing of this show is a bit off, I feel like there is a few filler episodes that could have been removed and improve the overall quality of the show. Overall this is the best season of this show and with it confirmed to be reaching its final season i'n hoping it gets even better.

From movie to series failed so bad. Those positive reviewers who gave 7 stars above.. What are they thinking? Disney are like zombies tearing the flesh of those true Star Wars fans apart and feed on their money paid to watch these garbage. Killing Star Wars slowly with really stupid plots and ideas. Those who enjoy the Rebels and the Force Awakens, I dare to say that you are not true fans but just Star Wars addicts or mind of a kid or an immature teen. Anything that brands with a Star Wars logo SW addicts will support it blindly i notice that.. I never hated Disney before, they do well in Pirates of the Caribbean. I like that. But ever since they took over Star Wars, they have been producing garbage and mass feeding it to the world to people not knowingly who eats it. How can i like the Disney now who tries to feed me rubbish. (Except that if you are kids, its normal for you to like the SW Rebels) Cos there are some level of childishness in this series, not to mention the predictable story line yet. From all their positive reviews i can tell they have no clue at all what is the true force of Star Wars that binds together fans who truly understands it. Basically if you at least correctly understand about the conspiracy of Chancellor Palpatine on why he is helping The Republic and Separatists at the same time then in the end why did he gave up on the Separatists then you are a true Star Wars fan or at least someone who watch the movies seriously. If you think Star Wars is good due to some romance, action, cool outfits, light saber, some heroic speeches etc... Then you are someone who are just passing by just to watch a movie to pass time.. This SW Rebel is just some kids show to me honestly. Disney seems trying to make it look cute for kids, might as well add in Donald Duck and Mickey into SW rebels to make it more cute so all kids will have a good laugh. Seriously Disney production are getting lame these days. All the Star Wars made by Disney are not link at all. They just try to make it look linked up.. The book of the Star Wars already ended before Disney took over. I feel much better to think this way.. I never add any of Disney Stars Wars Production to my collection cos they are trash and not related. Real version of Star Wars ended with The Clone Wars. After that its just Disney's make believe Star Wars not link with the book of Star Wars at all.
