This program is so cheesy it makes you laugh. Hondo is to clean cut and very wooden, you can see he is trying to much. There is to many little mistakes in the show you know it wouldn't happen in real life. ( the team are on standby and called to a job, they run out to there vehicle and 1 of the team throws his jacket on the road not in the car)

I started off hating this show for all the reasons listed in other reviews. But, if you think of it as being like Police Squad, it's much better. The whole family can play games like "guess the next cliche", "how many times can they pull the slide on their gun", "spot the heroic pose" Perhaps they should have story lines and scripts written by someone past puberty. If a show like Elementary is art, this is bad crayoning.

In Episode 20, Hondo is shown driving around talking on a hand-held cell phone. Against the law. A tricked-out S.W.A.T. car would have hands-free Bluetooth, or something better. The writers, directors, and tech consultants should set a better example.

I was shocked to see so many negative reviews about this show. It seems to me that the show accomplishes what it's supposed to do. It's a simple relaxing fictional series, with some nice storylines ( obviously Street's story line rules). When you watch an action movie you wouldn't comment that Arnold Schwarzenegger is holding his gun wrong, and if you did, I think it's save to assume you're just not that into action movies. There have been a lot of exciting new shows, that require that you pay attention to every single detail, and this isn't one of those. I think it's nice to change things up once in awhile...Anyhow, I hope there'll be a season two.
