Although I religiously watched NYPD when it was first released, it's obvious to me now that I missed so many episodes! The the re-releasing of this show has reminded me that the writing of each episode is perfection and it has become my favorite show once again! I will be so sorry to see it end!! The acting is amazing too, and makes me want to find out more about each actor, and to see what each actor is doing since being part of this fantastic cast. Like a great book that stays with you years after you've finished reading it, NYPD is that kind of of television series! I would love to see it continue on indefinitely!!I am a true fan of the crime show genre, and have watched all of the subsequent "Law and Order" shows, some, many times over, another fantastic series! And "Criminal Minds," is great, although sometimes a little 'dark.' But my favorite series so far is NYPD Blue and the incredible actors!!

This masterpiece is good from beginning to end. It will make you a better human being. It will bring you to a certain maturity about life and what are the most important parts of it. The acting is out of this world amazing. This is an all-star cast and don't you worry about loosing some great characters along the way, they are replaced by other very talented and interesting ones. The core actors of the show stay on for long periods of time and this allows you to truly feel as if they are your close friends. This show will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you think and most importantly, if there is something going on in your life and you need certain guidance, Andy is there for you and he will most definitely have the answer you are looking for during one episode or another. No doubt in my mind : If this TV show was a mandatory watch in high schools, the world would be a better place.

NYPD Blue is awesome. Ironically the show got better as the seasons went on but only the first 4 seasons are on DVD. One of the best story lines which aired on TV in 1997-1998 was the relationship between Diane Russel "Kim Delaney" and Bobby Simone "Jimmy Smitts". This relationship got hot in seasons 5 and 6. I have not seen these episodes since 1998 but was so moved that I will never forget the intensity of those episodes. If it ever comes out on DVD, I highly recommend watching seasons 5 and 6. I think that you will find the love affair between Diane and Bobby to be one of the best ever on television. It is similar to that of Rachel and Ross on "Friends" minus the comedy. Jimmy Smitts won the 1995 Golden Globe award for his portrayal of Bobby Simone. Kim Delaney won the Primetime Emmy Award in 1997 for her portrayal of Diane. In 1998, both Jimmy Smitts and Kim Delaney were nominated for the golden globe award. Despite this I am still waiting for seasons 5 and 6 to come out on DVD.

I just want to say I LOVE N.Y.P.D.BLUE but I'm just heart broken that they took it off of T.N.T. everyday. It's just killing me not to be able to watch it everyday. and if that s not bad enough Court T.V. took it off in the afternoon everyday around 6pm E.S.T.,thank God Court T.V.still has it on every Saturday and Sunday from noon till two every week. I don't care what season its from I LOVE N.Y.P.D.BLUE.i STARTED WATCHING IT THE FIRST YEAR IT CAME OUT AND I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH IT 24-7.i THINK THE ENTIRE CAST HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT.David Caruso was great,Jimmy Smits was always a real good guy and him and Kim Delaney could make you want to know that kind of love,Dennis Franz was always the king of hearts,I could go on for days and mention everybody on the show and make this 100 pages.I just want to know why they're showing the same E.R. for the last 3 years and they can't show my N.Y.P.D.BLUE except on the weekends I'm disabled and really looked forward to it everyday.
