I would never have believed back when this show started that 5 seasons later this show would be as good as it is and easily be the show I look forward to watching every week the most. The premise of the season sees the majority of the Shield team stuck in space trying to find out what has happened to them and a way for them to get back to Earth. Clark Gregg is back as Phil Coulson and he is truly great in this role, he encapsulates the show very well when you consider how much his character has developed since the first Iron Man film. He just fits the role so well and I find his character to be our eyesight into this show. Also Chloe Bennet is a key role as Daisy Johnson, she plays a big role throughout this season trying to become a more prominent leader but fearing what her powers could do which is unique to her performance. The rest of the crew are back and all do a great job, I especially found Mack and Yo-Yo's relationship great to watch as there characters get much more to work with and much more complexity to it. All the villainous characters were really well realised aswell, with a surprise villain really being well portrayed later in the season. The story is so large in scale this season, with the team spending time in space and involving time travel, it is great to see these characters deal with these different circumstances and settings. Similar to last season the multiple story arcs are all really strong and help keep this season feeling fresh. The script has some great humour in it but surprisingly some really deep drama that had me close to tears at certain points especially as the season was reaching its conclusion. The style of the show has more sci fi\horror elements to it and I felt it freshened the show up well. Also with a later time slot the action is more graphic and violent that separates this from the majority of comic book shows. Overall this show is so exciting and fun to watch that for any Marvel fan it is easily a must watch.
... View MoreI only discovered this recently, I am so glad that I did, binge watching from the pilot, I'm just starting series 5. All characters are believable, their developement is well paced, obviously the storylines are out of this worl but for me, this is how you do it.
... View MoreThe one thing I truly love about this show is how it never leaves a plot point hanging. Everything is there for a reason and the writers know that. You know that everything will get put together at the end of a story arc but the real puzzle is about how they'll fit it together to win. Some plot points are left sitting there for quite a while so always remember what's been there before as it will get used!
... View MoreThis show would be brilliant, if they got rid of Fitz, Simmons, and Mac. Breathing heavily is no substitute for acting.
