Recently discovered this show as it just came to the U.S. on Hulu. From the first beat of episode one I loved it. Fast paced dialogue by all of the characters in a small town in Canada. I have tried to persuade people to watch it by describing the characters as 'Kevin Smith's if Randall and Dante, etc... grew up in rural Canada instead of suburban New Jersey.' Some of the funniest dialogue I have heard in a long time. All of the cast are great and each character is uniquely odd in their own way. If you haven't given this sho a try yet, time to figure it out!

The basic premise of this show is that they all talk super fast, using lots of what I suppose is Canadian slang. The main character is the biggest square in Canada, yet he chain smokes and drinks non-stop. His sister is the biggest slut in Canada and he has two friends who add nothing to the story other than one of them likes to eat yogurt. They all drink lots of alcohol yet no one ever gets drunk. Then there's the "skids". Apparently "skids" mean people who wear black metal corpse paint, say each other's names like they are in a death metal band, make meth and do 30 year old dances. Did I mention that the one black person in the show is the only one who ever goes to work? Or that she is almost impossible to understand? This show is watchable but don't expect to laugh more than once per episode.

This is an apologetically Canadian series with great humor. It has lots of catchy lingo and running jokes. They poke fun at themselves and other ways of thinking too. If you are Canadian you probably can relate or know someone who is just like one of these characters who are crazy, cooky and a lot of fun. I don't watch many shows but I am hooked on this one and really hope they make more of it. Just when I was starting to loose faith in TV series's being able to come up with original content this one actually might get me to watch some more. My only complaint is that there are only two seasons of 6 episodes that are 1/2 an hour each. Please make more! Great job!

First, I must say the acting in this show far exceeded my expectations for a lower budget, and Canadian, production. From Wayne's phenomenal portrayal of a man's man country boy, which would make Ron Swanson proud, to Stewart's quite realistic tweaking on meth. As a fan of hockey as well, I can also appreciate the humor they bring to the subject. The stereotypes here are certainly relatable for most Canadians and some non-Canadians I'm sure. Even if you can't relate, the number of one liners is enough to fill a "best of" episode alone. It's so funny yet frighteningly true to so many degrees. Even my wife couldn't stop laughing(rare). Many have compared it to Corner Gas, which is somewhat correct, but I would refer to it as an alternate universe Trailer Park Boys. If you like TPB, you will love this show, and vice versa. They both have so many stereotypical plot lines and lack of political correctness. If you are faint of heart, or can't handle your own stereotype being mocked, then stay away, otherwise strap in and get ready to laugh.P.S. I watched(more like listened to) the first season a third time while camping and enjoying some mushroom tea. Needless to say my gut hurt the entire next day from laughing so hard. Enjoy
