I is Korean, from the Corea, and I enjoy this show. My sister recently recommended this show and I ended up binge watching the two seasons available on Netflix (<--give praise). The hilarious episodes are no stretch of imagination of many family experiences. The opinions of those who feel this show is full of "stereotypes" is right. Anyone who has strong culture or religious values fit some stereotype. What's wrong with this? Could this be what makes it funnier and more relatable? The story this series tells about a family who love their friends, customers, communities, colleagues, and each other, makes this show very easy to enjoy and relate to! I can't wait for more seasons!
... View MoreThis show is hilarious! The comedic style reminds me of Corner Gas and the story arcing is nothing like I've ever seen in a sitcom. Andrea Bang is the breakout actor in this show, although everyone contributes.
... View MoreFound this randomly on Netflix a couple days ago and just finished up S1. I was hooked from the first few lines and love all the characters. Plus I like how the scenarios aren't outrageous or incredible, but still twisted into unexpected ways, so the family moments have a lot of charm. I'll admit, not every moment was dynamite but overall it's one of the best sitcoms I've seen. Hope Netflix gets season 3 next year and the eventual 4th (greenlit according to facebook)!
... View MoreThe acting is sublime. The interaction between the Kim family is some of the best written and acted family comedy on TV. The other characters are just as good. It is so refreshing to see such diversity without submitting to the tired old stereotypes and tropes. It is 20 minutes you won't regret.
