It's basically space vampires. There is a green goo makes people space vampires. Space vampires can share memories and can communicate with a sound wave you can't hear. Space vampires can't make babies so they need humans to turn them into space vampires. There is two kind of space vampires ones have free will and ones have to obey their space vampire masters. Only way the kill them is space sticks and poison them or their space vampire seer.

There was a time when TV series just had the last episode and we waited for a new series in the coming year. Then we had cliffhangers. They were exciting, but now they are old hat.There was no reason to end this series of Killjoys with a cliffhanger. The story already has unfinished plot lines.Far better if one of the plot lines was completed and then give us a taster of what is to come.That would be more tantalising and keep the fans wanting more.

As a low budget SciFi series, Killjoys is better than most. Interesting story lines, excellent use of special effects, and lots of action. The biggest downfall for me is Hannah John-Kamen. I can't understand about half of what she says and that often ruins my viewing experience. All the other cast member are great, mixing seriousness with humor nonstop throughout each episode.

Take a pinch of Starhunter, mix with a dystopian oligarchy and a dash of civilization ending conspiracy. Blend well in a gritty universe of sci-fi, seasoning with some kick-ass action (including some serious female bad- assery) delivered wif a proper twangThis is the recipe for Killjoys, a somewhat deceptively good entry into an overly crowded genre. The show doesn't grab you immediately but rather builds its characters and story progressively and relentlessly. I enjoyed the second episode more than the first, the third more than the second and so on. By the end of season 1 I was totally hooked.The limited special effect budget is easy to ignore when the storytelling is this well done, and the characters this well drawn. Can't wait for season 3.
