I think what a lot of you are forgetting is that Disney stars are often made to do a variety of medias for the channel (eg music video, TV show, cd etc). The Jonas brothers have yet to do a lot of these things aside from cds a couple of music videos a few years ago and a few documentaries. I think you're all judging this show way too harshly. It is /just/ a Disney show - intended for a young audience and even still its popular among older teens and even parents. Family shows aren't made to be complicated or else it would just be children asking their parents to explain the plot the entire time they watch. So to those criticizing for the seemingly "stupid" characters of the show, just how smart do you want these people do be? this is a kids comedy not a teen drama.

Before I took the time to sit down and watch JONAS, I never had been a fan of their music. I thought I was too old to listen to a "boy band," but then I saw an episode of the Jonas Brothers' show. I was really impressed! The three brothers are a riot together, and not bad actors to boot. I could not stop laughing because of the charm Kevin, Joe, and Nick portrayed on screen. Not to mention, the supporting characters of Stella, Macy, and the rest of the Lucas family were well cast, as well. I think what makes the show so fun is how everyone involved gets so into their characters and the story that the viewer can't help but have fun. The best part, though, is the new songs introduced in some of the episodes. Even in their television show, the Jonas Brothers work hard on their music, and it is AWESOME. I recommend this show to anyone who not only likes the band (which I will admit, because of the show I am also a fan now), but to anyone who loves a light-hearted, entertaining show.

i mean really Disney channel? come on... its just another excuse for another laughter track show! the Jonas brothers are really talented at singing but they're just not meant to be actors. some episodes are OK and cleverly thought out but the fact is its supposed to be a comedy and i haven't laughed once. It will not do as well as Hannah Montana or suite life of Zack and Cody or wizards of Waverly place.... watch one episode and you decide, but the other characters are just pointless... I'm sure the Jonas Brothers aren't the best actors in the world, but if you're gonna try something new, you have to start somewhere; so I guess this is where they're building up. No, it's not the best series, no it's not very original but I'm still enjoying the cheesy comedy that they put into it. And hopefully in time, they'll become better actors just like what Miley Cyrus did with Hannah Montana. It's one of their first acting jobs so I didn't really expect to much out of them but Disney really, really might wanna consider more original scripts and outlines or at least give Jonas a twist to it because right now it's just a little too plain for a lot of people.
