I loved Zoey 101 as a child and looking back it was the best TV show in my childhood. OK, yes the show is unrealistic but remember it is a TV SHOW. Being unrealistic is what makes TV shows and movies more interesting. If it was realistic and PCA was like a regular school, it would not be nearly as entertaining. Would you really like watching a TV show where kids are just studying in a classroom the whole time?? I don't think so. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the acting with Jamie Lynn or anyone else in the show. The characters all have a different unique personality and that is what makes the show funny. Things like Logan's overconfident cocky attitude and Stacy not being liked by anyone are meant to be taken as a joke and not seriously.

I hated this show back when it came on in 2005. Jamie Lynn Spears starred for two seasons on the god awful All That reboot. So Nickelodeon for some strange reason decided to give her own show for god knows why. She wasn't anything special to warrant her own show and she was a horrible actress. Everything about this show was crap. They go to a boarding that has a sushi bar, pink and purple stylish dorms with mini fridges, student lounges with flat screen HD TV's, apparently no rules on this campus since these kids run around this school doing whatever they want. The adults were all adults dictated by a bunch of 13 year old brats. The characters are all cardboard cutout stereotypes. Nicole is the ditsy bubbly airhead girly girly who screams a lot. Dana was the tough Latina chick tomboy. Chase is a wimp loser, Logan is the arrogant rich jerk, Michael is the token black comic relief, Quinn is the weird nerdy girl who wears glasses and everybody makes fun of. Lola is an anorexic wannabe actress. Dustin was just...there. He served no purposed honestly. And then we have our main character Zoey, the biggest Mary Sue who ever graced the television screen. Miss perfect who can do absolutely no wrong, everyone loves her, she has all the ideas, all the guys want to date her, straight A student, she's pretty, smart, etc. She's BORING.... Between Tori and Carly, she the worst of Dan Schneider's female leads. This show also went through many cast changes. Dana/Kristin Herrera dropped after the first season apparently because the actress was deemed too old. So why did they cast her in the first place? Then after season 2 Nicole was written off, because of backstage fights and incidents between Alexa Nikolas and Lynn Spears. Britney then came to the set and yelled at and insulted Nikolas. They brought in Victoria Justice who played Lola to replace Nicole. Then after Season 3 Chase/Sean Flynn was written off and replaced by Austin Butler as James for most of the season 4.Overall, this was just a crappy boring show. The writing was bad, the acting was terrible, unlikable obnoxious characters, unrealistic setting, stupid plots, the comedy/gags were awkward and forced. This show just seem like an excuse to make Britney Spears little sister into a star which she certainly wasn't. She's not strong enough to carry her own show. The show ended because an underage Jamie Lynn Spears foolishly got pregnant at only 16 years old. Wow...great role model for the little 8 year old girls watching this show. What an idiot! The only good about this situation was that it killed Lynn Spears very short acting career.

I liked this show when it first came up in 2005. Even then, I KNEW that PCA is beyond unrealistic. I've never been to a boarding school before but a boarding school like PCA doesn't exist. No boarding school has a sushi bar, flat screen televisions, and laptops for each students. What I liked about the show is that while it isn't believable, I am able to escape reality. Yes, the show isn't the best but it helps me escape from the harsh reality and enjoy living in a fantasy. The thing that bothered me about this show is Zoey's character, I didn't realize it before but this girl is a big Mary Sue. She is little miss perfect. I couldn't relate to her. In fact, NO ONE could ever relate to her. Who would? She is too perfect-she is smart, pretty, kind, and almost everybody gets along with her. Every boy wants to date her. It is ridiculous because it tends to be exaggerated.I didn't notice it before but people here have pointed out that Zoey is always right and that she is always the leader. Now that people have mentioned it, they're right. They are doing re-runs of the show yesterday and was able to see it in a new light. Wow, this show is so boring. That's because Zoey has no flaws. There are some things that I disagree with, the characters are seen studying, opening their textbooks, and being inside a classroom. BUT they only show them doing these Occasionally. Most of the time, they just hang out in the lounge.I hated the treatment of Quinn and Stacy in this show. They are both weird girls that get treated badly. Sure Stacy is a chatterbox and talks too much but she doesn't deserve to be treated like crap. Quinn's characterization is just awful. They assume that every nerds are weird and such.Anyways, those are my two cents on the show. I enjoyed the show when I was around 13 since that was when the show first came out. I liked it but I did notice a lot of flaws in the show.

Zoey 101 has got to be the most pathetic, idealistic show I have ever seen. It is a failed attempt at making comedy and decent acting. When I first saw an episode, I was like, "You have got to be kidding me." The show focuses on a girl named Zoey Brooks, who is, as one reviewer said, "The sun, moon and stars," of PCA. Here is a highlight of what Zoey is like: Everyone goes to her for advice. She is never wrong with anything she says. She's beautiful with a perfect body, (as is all the other students that go there, with the exception of the one chubby kid who in my opinion is a complete fag) She has perfect grades, the perfect looks, never seen doing homework, and none of the students don't take interest in real work. Even the teachers that work there seem to be complete losers. Her ideas are pointless and dull, although everyone else thinks she's brilliant. She always has an answer for everything. She seems to be swimming in money because she is always seen wearing nice clothes and has one heck of a dorm room with a flat screen TV, laptop and a couch. And last, everyone seems to bow down to her like she's a princess. The show doesn't have any morals. If someone creates a problem, for example in the episode, "Webcam," when Logan spies on the girls, she always saves the day. This happens in almost all the episodes, so basically, each episode has a happy ending to it, like in fairy tales. Zoey is always playing games, tanning, or sitting around, so a question arises, "Why does she have all As." This is with all of the characters, with the exception of Quinn. But she tries to act cool, and fails. Zoey and her brother never argue or fuss. All siblings bicker from time to time. I know this is true because I have a sister, and although were close, we have our differences. But it seems like Zoey and her brother don't have any differences at all. They agree on everything. She's very protective of him and they get along just fine. Unrealistic!!!!!!! She seems to have plenty of money, but where does she get it? None of them work, or even know what the term means because they act like a bunch of spoiled brats. This isn't real life. In real life, parents don't send their 13 year old kids off to a boarding school with a sushi bar beside the beach and leave them there unsupervised. In real life, kids at boarding school are seen doing homework, getting an education, and reaching for something, instead of the kids shown in the show who play games all the time, sit out in the sun all day; wear clothes from holister and get perfect grades without opening a book. And in real life, if a parent knew that the girls and guys were hanging out in the same dorm room together at an age where hormones start to kick in, they'd be flabbergasted. This show is unrealistic in so many ways and that's why I don't suggest you not watch this show. If you think my review if harsh, please forgive me. But this is the truth.
