This show is so awesome it makes you want to scam pigeons label everything in your room act ocd wear a hat that so no one will ever find out whats under it, eat buttered toast, gravy and jawbreakers. Basically in most episode the ed boys try to scam the kids to get their money to pay for jawbreakers and its awesome. Now they do vary up the episode so they're all different even if they all share similar plot points like scamming kids sometimes a particular kid, eddy being a greedy but lovable jerk, double d creates all the inventions and devices for scams, ed or one of the other eds (usually ed) messes everything up, if eds get jawbreakers or money they lose them, and the nasty kanker sisters kiss the eds to their horror. Still one of the best overall CN original show ever though(along with samurai jack) but of course Batman TAS takes the top rung best show on CN overall. There's also Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Metalocalypse and some other early early 2000's adult swim shows. Anyway Ed Edd n Eddy is awesome.

This show was the show I watched the most when I was a kid and it was without a doubt the funniest show I have ever seen. The animation is insane and that's what makes the show so memorable and adds to the humor. Ed was my favorite character because every single thing he said made me laugh and Rolf would be a close second because of his wacky old country traditions and phrases. This was my favorite show as a kid and it still is my favorite cartoon.

Ed, Edd, n Eddy is a hilarious animated television series from Cartoon Network, some of the original CN shows I do like.First off, the animation. The artstyle may not be the most visually appealing out there, it works for the animation slapstick with its caricatures. The animators also do a good job in making sure the animation does not go into either of the two extremes of an unapologetically crass visual style (South Park) and an overly saccharine one (The Powerpuff Girls). A decent balance between the two is good enough for me, and Ed, Edd n Eddy succeeds in that remark.Next, the characters. Ed, the endearingly dim-witted member of the three Eds, is without a doubt, the funniest character in the series. Edd, commonly referred to as Double D, is the brains of the trio, but he is also the kindest of the trio. Eddy, the greedy, impatient and loudmouthed member of the trio, is fun to watch as well. Jimmy, is a young boy who you cannot help but feel kind of sorry for him. Kevin, is the boy, with the stereotypical cool teenage rebellion. Rolf, the boy with an Eastern European accent, is meh. Sarah, Ed's sister, is a selfish, ungrateful brat of a girl, adds a bit of comedy to the series. The Kanker Sisters, are portrayed as the the Eds' worst nightmare, also adding comedy. Jonny 2x4, is portrayed as a nuisance to the other characters. Nazz, is the love interest of the series. Overall, the characters are very likable.Next, the voice acting. It consists of Matt Hill (Ed), Samuel Vincent (Edd), Tony Sampson (Eddy), David Paul Grove (Jonny 2x4), Kathleen Barr (Kevin and Marie Kanker), Peter Kelamis (Rolf), Erin Fitzgerald (Nazz (seasons 2, 4, 5, 6) and May Kanker), Janyse Jaud (Sarah and Lee Kanker), Keenan Christensen (Jonny 2x4 (some parts) and Jimmy), Tabitha St. Germain (Nazz (season 1)), and Jenn Forgie (Nazz (season 3)). The voice acting is great, enough said. And finally, the writing. The writing of the segments are simple short stories, but they are effective enough to make me feel entertained and give a me a good laugh.Overall, a fun and entertaining series that made me laugh out loud.

It's ironic that one of Danny Antonucci's only kids cartoons is a bigger hit than The Brothers Grunt. Or at least, that's how I see it. People have usually compared the titular trio to the Three Stooges. Ed is Curley, Edd (Double D) is Larry, and Eddy is Moe. The rest of the characters are all victims of their obsession with jawbreakers. The adventures are wild, the dialogue is humorous and the characters are colourful and diverse. My favorite episode is the one where we see the characters become over 100 years old or whatnot, and Eddy struggles to accept that fact. This happens in the second half of the episode "Take this Ed and shove it." There's a deleted scene where Eddy breaks the fourth wall and asks Antonucci for him to wake him up. To come to think of it, there's plenty of fourth wall breaking, which is done quite well. They even remove Jimmy's outline at one point, followed by other surreal acid trips. Other than Ed, probably my favorite character is Rolf, an immigrant from Europe (Probably Germany). He adds a whole lot more colour and personality into the show. Least favorite... probably Kevin. He's your stereotypical jerk type of character. There's also a variety of sound effects. They don't resort to the same sound over and over. Johnny Test is guilty of that and it was irritating! Antonucci was actually dared to make a kids show, this being a result... I wonder if he was a Three Stooges fan. I could go on and on how crazy and fun this show was, but if I did, I'd be out of room. Bottom line, it's one of Cartoon Network's best works, and in my opinion, Antonucci's best by far, which is saying a lot. 9 stars out of 10.
