It's incredibly surprising how high the rating is for this show on here. I couldn't even get past a few episodes. Everything about it feels like a soap opera. Very boring shots, horrible acting, pointless dialogues, and nonstop background music. I actually thought I was watching a soap opera until I double checked online.

An initially courageous and thrilling series with a focus on character roundness - a candidate for the top series and the honorary prize for sincerity, IF it had not lost the courage and chickened out in the middle by giving the two main villains European (German + Italian) names (I realized that quite late, because of the ignorant/wrong pronunciation). (Otherwise the show would have deserved 10 points but:) Thus, the whole good effect of the start was nullified and pulled down the series on the shabby level of other inflammatory series, and additionally pretty schizophrenic, since the series has several leading actors with European, or more accurately German and Italian names/ancestors. So even then, Hollywood destroyed a top series in order to sacrifice it for political propaganda. A similarly brave series, Last Resort, had the courage to go through with it with decency- and got obliterated - yes, both shows were canceled, but there is talk about a delayed third season for Jericho - I would have welcomed this before, but since the creators chickened out back then, Jericho does not earn a third season - and who knows what offenses would be put into a third season if it is made these days under the current leadership and with Hollywood lashing out to Europe madly (with no respect to the reality and honesty), no thanks !!

I came across this title on Netflix a few months back and finally decided to watch it considering it's only 2 seasons. The show starts of by introducing to the town of Jericho and the people in the town. Personally the first season for me was OK and the second season kind of crammed to much information into the episodes. The acting was OK however as one reviewer stated this would have probably made a good movie if the storyline was looked at.Throughout the episodes their was a number of mistakes, in the 3rd episode they all decided to go in hiding from the radiation rain but then leave the bomb shelters a day after and are still able to sit on items and eat items from the radiation rain. I found this to be very confusing and not a thought out story. I gave the rating a 5, the acting was good from the male actors but the female actors could have had more parts and more to say thought the episodes. Overall the romance side I thought was good, their could have been more locations rather then the two farms. it made a good show to watch if you have nothing else better to do.

This is a good show.Jericho is a very mysterious show that opens with a really good pilot episode that I would have to say is easily one of the very best pilot episodes I have ever seen in my entire life, and that includes the pilot episode of Lost which was really phenomenal. They are similar because both shows have a lot of tension in the pilots and a huge mystery surrounding the survivors that will get the viewers hooked, I really loved it.The acting is pretty good and the story holds up for the entire first season, haven't seen season two yet.
