Remember the insurance commercial about the dumb fumbling around people in scary movies? This is 13 episodes of that. I gotta go now and call Geico.

I started watching this after seeing the commercial for it. It looked creepy so I thought I would like it. After the first episode I saw that the producer was Jon Turteltaub and I remembered that he made that other awful series Jericho. Harper's Island is okay to watch once, just because there are nice different ways of murders. For the rest it was pretty annoying, especially the soundtrack and the sound effects. It felt like I was watching one of those endless soap series. A shot with a couple of medium actors, spice it up with some awful music, fade out with some awful piano music, go to next shot, repeat everything until the end of the episode. The murders where the only good thing in this series. The story itself is just predictable and the actors are just average actors. Watched it once and then deleted it.

Another show with unbelievably stupid characters. Some very poor acting also. The groom to be was very unconvincing with a fake smile. The plot was totally unbelievable too. Given the final purpose of the killings - there was not justification for many of the murders.Some of the more sincere characters were killed off. That did not help at all. I really wished the part creepy and part retarded little girl got killed off. And if the Killer cannot kill her - I hoped in a bizarre plot twist the director/writer will have Boko Haram kidnap her permanently. She was so annoying and stupid - every scene with her in it was painful to watch.No idea how shows like this get 7.5 in IMDb.

This series has moderate acting talent, a constraint that scenes need to be viewable on a mainstream channel, and a budget that doesn't allow much (any?) CGI.It is about relatively attractive people dying 'one by one'.So if this were a movie it would likely end up with a 5.2 rating.Instead it is an entertaining series that very successfully keeps the basic premise ticking along nicely for thirteen episodes. There are sufficient plots twists and they keep flowing all the way through to the last episode.In a series of this nature there is no point trying to plug EVERY possible hole in the script, but they do an admirable job. If you are prepared to go in with a positive viewpoint you will find this great fun.
