Started watching this show and really thought it was hilarious. Then it started to have lots of forced humor with random storyline turns yielding no reason. Like why the heck did sweet Annie randomly sleep with her romantic interest's best friend?? Why did they ruin a good thing so quickly? Then noticed they canceled after one season. Makes sense.

Season 1 was unique, fun and entertaining! A 30 min Ghostbusters feel with fun loving characters that my kids and I enjoyed watching together.Season 2 is dull, disappointing and not family friendly! It has become a drama about work relationships.

The show begins quite well. The setup is clear. The scenes are good. I do believe that I laughed once in the first episode. The entire plot is not meant to be taken seriously. The problem with that is that it isn't allowed to develop. The characters constantly seem to be pulling at each other. Instead of developing any basic characters, the show does seem to change through the first 15 episodes. The special effects appear to have only been for the pilot. The high-paced job boils down to an office show after a few episodes. The focus shifts from the creatures to the people. I'm sure it will succeed with its elderly television audience but won't have enough to appeal to the average viewer. The actors don't mesh well. The plots are comedic, i.e. laughable. The show didn't make me laugh, think, or even want to watch it. As I had gotten the first 15 eps, I watched them all. I hoped for some change in my enjoyment, but none came. I hope that these actors can find a different show to be in. The team is quite good (the secondary characters - outside the main 5-6), and they should definitely be in other things. The main characters are dull and should be happy to get paid for this show.

Adam Scott is horribly unfunny. He has no comedy timing with Craig Robinson, no chemistry with anyone else, and he seems to be trying to be the only funny guy on this show. He is annoying instead of funny. Ally Walker, formerly of Profiler, has no clue that she is on a comedy show. Every time she is on screen, she kills any comedy vibe that may have been building up. She is trying to the "straight man," but her acting is grim. She manages to be more depressing than when she was on Profiler. Adeel Akhtar is trying too hard to be the Indian guy from The Big Bang Theory, and failing awfully. Akhtar is not subtle. He is over the top in every scene. His acting is desperate, and not funny. This cast has nobody funny on it except for Craig Robinson. I don't think any of them get what the show is supposed to be about. Maybe the writers do not know what the show is about. It seems to go in different directions every episode. Sometimes it looks like Craig Robinson is going to be the lead, and other times Adam Scott is the lead. When the episodes focus on Adam Scott, they are almost completely unfunny and dreadful.
