I just got around to watching this - figured it would be at the very least okay. No. The casting rolled out every stereotype on TV. The sassy flawed young girl with piercings, weird hair, pouty face - but a genius. The hip black dude with a criminal past throwing out all the standard black dude lines - but a genius. The fat guy who thinks he's a god because he can turn on a computer and quip tired old quips - but a genius. The hunky cop strong silent type - but a genius. And finally, the leader of the team who of course has a sad story in her past that leads her on a one-armed man quest using tax dollars - but still, a genius. The difference with Arquette is that she sexualizes almost every line and interaction because sex is her schtick. Does the FBI really have any offices that look like that? If so, they'd better be solving LOTS of crime to justify the cost.

Psychologist Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) leads a special FBI unit investigating cyber crimes. Elijah Mundo (James Van Der Beek) is in charge of tactical. Daniel Krumitz (Charley Koontz) is the computer expert. Brody Nelson (Lil' Bow Wow) and Raven Ramirez (Hayley Kiyoko) are reformed hackers working in a special program. D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) joins the team in the second season.I don't think this ever made sense. Computer crimes are solved by techies behind their keyboards. This show struggles to connect that computer work with Van Der Beek running around seemingly anywhere around the world. There are a couple of interesting hacking crimes but it never seem right. I'm also not sure that it's smart to have both Van Der Beek and Lil' Bow Wow. They are both notable for something different. One is doable but two may be too much. This is basically a failure and could be the end of the CSI franchise.

I am a LONG time CSI fan & it's on the list of some of the most legendary shows on TV. With that, I am trying my best not to sit in all of this negativity, but here is my two cents after watching the Season 2 finale. Is this show in any way comparable to the original CSI? No. Is adding CYBER to the title taking advantage of a good name? Yes. Is this an overall good show? It's border-line. Do I want the show to go away? NO!When this new show CSI:CYBER came along I was excited. We get a new CSI based show based on tech and DB was coming with it! I was ready! As much as it doesn't compare to the original, if this is what I can get I will always record it and watch it because some CSI is better than none. Nothing will flow like CSI did and if this series continues I will be just fine with it. CBS put some more $$ into this guy and if it really flops just let it go in peace.

While this show had been good to me for many years, and would make a good show to marathon on Netflix, this show is simply trash police propaganda, as with all other shows such as this. I will never watch this show, or any show like this, again. While at one time it was good to me and good for me, it's plainly propaganda for the police and other hands of government that I want no part of. That negates anything else this show has to offer. This belongs in the trash and in the past, as do the rest of the shows like this. The amount of flat out wrong and fear mongering things in this show when it comes to the internet and modern technology is staggering.
