First things first, I really wanted to like it. After watching the first episode, I was really excited to watch this show. The main idea seemed new, fresh; it was a combo of dark fairy tales and brutal reality. But I think the execution is just too poor to make it a decent series. Episodes are slow paced, repetitive, they mull around the same thing over and over again. Acting of most characters is OK, the main guy is always kind of angry, bet he wakes up like that. The main characters were my greatest issue with this show: they are absolutely disgusting, they represent all what your grandma told you not to be. Also, character development is lacking, I felt like only in episode 6 something has actually changed. Thus,without bringing in any spoiler, the show is slow-paced, lacks story development, and has some poor acting. I recommend watching only first and sixth episodes, as it will be enough to enjoy the show

I binge-watched all six episodes of this first season, and found it very enjoyable. The writing was fine; all the loose ends are taken care of by the sixth episode, and the dialogue had a nice flow to it. The acting was uniformly good, and the directing was handled very well. It's shot very well, and the only thing mediocre about the series so far was the CGI on the monster in the sixth episode. I can see by the board and reviews that this has stirred up a lot of emotion regarding the plot and theme of the show, but not being from Australia, my review doesn't concern itself with that matter. Many of the reviews (both positive and negative) were done by accounts that were created four months ago, and this show was the only show or film that those people reviewed, so I think you can guess what that means...

This show reminds me of teen wolf, which is ending after 6 seasons. And it's about time!! You draw us in with the sci fi, or even sci fi drama. but then it turns into something way off beat!! The main character is wuss! and i do mean the king of wuss's!! Now you wanna tell a story about the aboriginal people, back to the wuss!! It's all over the damn place! This show is made for wuss society! but it's understandable the world is changing in that way. Not even a damn good sex scene, they blew that to. Really people!! Take off your damn skirts and grow a pair!!! Lol. I can't even submit this without 10 lines, lol. Why? OK, here we go. The time of time college idiot has finally come full circle!! Just like working with them stupid engineers on the job.

I am only 20 minutes in and I think these 20 minutes of "tv show" I have seen is utterly crap.Never seen a TV show from Australia before and now I know why1. Just the accent is annoying to listen to 2. The filming looks so low budget 3. The cut between the scenes reminds me of really bad TV shows from the 80-90ies, you know the ones that run for decades. Try to keep a clip for more than 3 seconds before switching. 4. The dialog is horrible "for 5 minutes all I heard was "jera Jera" 5. I have no interest in any of the characters, and it has been switching so much between the scenes that I doubd there is a lead character in there somewhere. Don't waste your time here!5 minutes has past and now there is a fight scene. Awesome sound effects hahahaha
