As a fan of the 1990s Batman animated series and the one with Kevin Conroy as Batman/Bruce Wayne, this was the next best thing in the Batman TV show lineup. It's Batman, but with cyberpunk (one of my favorite kinds of science-fiction) and futuristic technology. Flying cars, biker gangs, sky-high buildings, and laser guns all make it a sci-fi Batman. This was the first sci-fi superhero series I actually enjoyed. And Boy Meets World's Will Friedle joins forces with Kevin Conroy to deliver the ultimate superhero duo since the original Batman and Robin (not the 1997 Joel Schumacher debacle). Plus a whole bunch of new supporting characters and new villains. There's plenty to like, but if you're not into science-fiction and only like superhero action, this may not be your thing. Still, it doesn't hurt to try it. Not only do we get Kevin Conroy again, we also get some cameos from old villains from the original Batman. I'll leave that up to the viewer so as not to spoil anything. By all means try it!

Batman Beyond is a new Era and a new Take on the Bat Mythos of Bruce Wayne being Batman but it's time for someone younger to take the role of Batman since episode 'Rebirth' shows us that Bruce Wayne retires the hero and we see him years later being even older and holding a cane and he recruits a young man called Terry McGinnis. Kevin Conroy voices the Dark Knight once more and i think my favorite moments of him as Batman a.k.a Bruce Wayne is episode Rebirth and the moment when he puts the exo-suit those 2 moments alone make Batman Beyond an amazing TV show and a great way to continue the story of the Animated Series. This is a show that i would love to see a live action film about it.

I watched this when I was 10 or 11 and thought it was pretty good. To those of you who don't know it's about Bruce Wayne as an old man that gives up Batman since he's aging. Fast forward to…the future, as I like to call it. A kid, Terry Mcginuess ends up getting in trouble with a gang and Bruce as an old man helps him. Through a series of events Terry loses his father to the gang and finds a way to stop who sent the gang after his father. Bruce Wayne then ends up mentoring Terry as the series goes forward. Watching it now on Netflix I'm surprised how dark it could be and how it entertained the audience past 5 years old. Sadly it didn't get a chance to end. Not until the last episode of Justice League Unlimited season 1 which is the official ending to Batman Beyond. They also made a movie Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and I'll review that soon. I'm also surprised that the person who voiced Bruce Wayne, Kevin Conroy was still in this series. Also the person who voiced Terry, Will Freddie, did good especially in Return of the Joker at the end of the movie. Anyway give this a watch on Netflix before it gets pulled since it's pretty good for a Batman cartoon.

Bruce Wayne has retired from the life of crime fighting, alone in his mansion on the outskirts of the city, he ponders of what was. And then Terry Mcginnis arrives on his door step and thus a new age of Batman begins. At the time when this show first arrived, I was Twelve, and I was totally blown away. The story lines were complex and, the action was just as brilliant; the characters were all interesting and intriguing. It was a brilliant show.Today, I caught a couple of episodes on syndication and I found myself picking up on innuendo's that I missed as a twelve year old, and how 'saucy' certain scenes were in the show. Something, I think you would definitely not see in today's terrible animation.Honestly, this show has not aged in my opinion; the animation is, dare; I say it...better than the stuff today, its realistic and gritty. Amazing cartoon.
