If you like to watch a show that confirms the utter hopelessness and emptiness of dating, and how dating brings out the absolute worst in people, then this is the show to watch. This show is about how men and women play games with each other and how dating is the ultimate waste of time and is utterly devoid of any redeeming social value except as proof of the hypocrisy associated with people trying to assert their dominance through devious means. The men are invariably portrayed as fools as they try to play up to the women who are arrogant, self-centered and manipulative and absolutely not worth the effort. This show is further proof that money cannot buy love as the men take the women to fancy restaurants where they engage in meaningless talk which sets the stage for the woman's rejection of her hapless companion. On this show every man is portrayed as awkward and socially inept while the women are portrayed as self-centered man-haters who basically have no use for their dates except to use them as a means of acting out their contempt of men.

I have seen this show several times, and it amazes me how shallow and superficial some of these people are. I saw this one guy tell his date that "you're not pretty enough to be with me!" right to her face! When tact was being handed out, this guy must have been combing his hair or flexing his muscles. I thought I had seen it all, until I saw another episode when one particularly attractive young woman jumped into a cab during her date, and the man literally chased the cab on foot yelling "We can work it out!" My goodness, don't you have any pride! These people can't be serious....wait, maybe they are!In any event, "Blind Date" is a cool show, so if you're up around 1am, check it out!

I wish it was on more. The "thought bubbles" are ingenious. hysterical! Who ever you have writing for your show I wish was my best friend. Without the thought bubbles the show would not be bearable to watch. I even purchased the "Blind Date Uncensored" video and i never buy videos I like the show that much. A fine collection of LA's best oafs, morons and Village idiots. Sometimes the dates work out and thats nice. But its amazing to see how many people will act like an ass on national television. Roger Lodge, keep up the good work! OK, I do have to ask one more favor from my room mate..., bring back the lesbian episodes they were great!

The best thing about this show are the "thought bubbles" and cartoon drawings that supposedly tell what the couples are really thinking. Those are very funny. I have to wonder though--where do they find some of those people? From what they say in the little intro before the cameras start following them on their dates, I get the impression that most of the participants are 1) sex obsessed, 2) have huge egos, 3) very immature, 4) lacking social skills, 5) crazy. Do they even want lasting relationships?
