What this movie is, is basically a real life road trip movie with a couple of young and talented skateboarders. Traveling around the streets of the U.S. and around the globe where there is good architecture for skating and showing off their skills while having a good time. And talking about the culture and bonding through skateboarding while also sharing there passion and thoughts. However there isn't really a story, just a straight narrow direction of skaters doing their thing and talking few times about skateboarding. However what makes this movie worth the watch is the tight editing, the super sick cinematography and the music. The soundtrack fits the theme and tricks of the skaters from there emotions to talent to pain. It does seem pretentious from time to time, but for a straight up movie about skateboarders traveling and skating it alright. I would have been super pumped to watch this movie when I saw it as a teenager. But now it just brings back some nostalgic memories of me and couple of my friends skating and trying out new tricks. Because skating was a big thing back in the early 2000's. Anyways if you like watching skateboarders pulling off sick tricks with some great camera work, check this one out. They did the best they could with the resources they had while making this.7/10
... View MoreThis is not your typical skateboarding video, this is art! At first it was hard to follow what was going on because I am used to the skate video "chapter" style format where each skater is given a certain amount a time with tricks getting progressively harder. This film wasn't to highlight a skater or a team, it's to show how universal and infectious skateboarding is. My suggestion is to not worry about who did it, just sit back and enjoy. The filming is so high quality, those RED cameras bringing skateboarding to another level. Ty Evans does it again, this film delivers. The Dubai section is visually insane! A must see for sure!
