I found out i can't write reviews without doing spoilers...what a wonderful movie...i think i ought qualify my viewing and writing of this took place while stoned... i think 'masterpiece' is an good word to describe it...why was i thinking 'a woman wrote this...no guy could write this good to where he could 'throw himself' into 2 female characters and super strong lead...i think i could point to exaggerated acting for a split second, just maybe....OH, for the first 5 minutes of the film i was determined not to like it and i was sad that i wouldn't like it...why?...'Pulp Fiction'...show started exactly like Pulp Fiction except it was 2 woman talking silly dialogue on the way to an apt. room to kill.... HOWEVER, from that moment on i was hooked...brilliant writing, acting, directing...again, qualify with i'm stoned'...i think i'd like it straight or crooked...i love 'drama'....i'm getting to where i hate hearing 'f--k' this and that and computer shows...the bubble gum in unison with the gun...the show never dulled or slowed down...there was a fast segment at end but missed the meaning...i found myself thinking these girls are spoiled brats in real life...then, thought 'those partaking in a show like this are great in my book'...this thing could be made in a TV production class...but, not this good!...i think 'Sex Lies Video Tape'...the less 'music' the better...this flick mind blowing beautiful music or sounds...super sparingly and uniquely right on...scenery perfect. I can't say enough good about this 'kudos' to all especially writer/director

two of the most ineffective "assassins" in history in a plot that completely rips off the first 2 mons of pulp fiction. 3:19 seconds in to watching them fire about 1000 rounds from unsilenced guns into a guy (instead of just shooting him in the head) and I gave up. If this filmhas any redeeming qualities - I will be surprised - but based on the first 3m 20s - it's truly truly awful. Last movie I saw that was SO bad I gave up in under 10 mins was Suicide Squad - so it's WORSE than that!!!!!

Violet and Daisy, oh dear. An interesting idea?... possibly; something different?... maybe but not in a good way; quirky?... tries to be but fails; worth watching?... I'd say absolutely not! I wanted to see this film because of Saoirse Ronan; she, as usual, is very accomplished but the story and script is just daft. 'Quirky' is one thing but it does have to backed up with a plot of substance not nonsense. Presumably this was written as a satirical take on 'the assassins' genre; if this was the intention then more wit and quip is sorely needed. Interestingly, the definition of pulp fiction is: "popular or sensational writing that is regarded as being of poor quality" and that, I'd say, is being generous with regard to this film!

Let me start out by saying I LOVE this movie! I know that the critics didn't care for it and it was a huge money loser, something I don't quite understand. The reviews here are mainly positive.I loved the opening sequence, our protagonists disguised as pizza delivering nuns, delivering Righteous Pizza to a bunch of mobsters while rescuing their kidnap victim. Yes, Violet and Daisy actually serve up "righteous pizza" in the form of mass slaughter of all the bad guys.I think this sets the tone for the rest of the movie. Violet and Daisy are professional assassins. But for all the killing there remains an innocence about them, Daisy more so than Violet. Maybe innocence isn't quite the right word, although it does fit Daisy, but childlike seems fitting. They play pat-a-cake with each other and with Danny Trejo, who plays their agent. While Violet and Daisy does have its share of bloodshed the movie is really about relationship. The acting was quite good, but Saoise Ronan is always good. I've only seen Alexis Bledel in Gilmore Girls, but she did a great job as Violet. James Gondolfini, need I say more? Danny Trejo is, well Danny Trejo at his most lovable. But I am biased as I love this movie and have seen it like 34 times.
